National security law I not exactly my area of expertise, however; so, most opinions on it are likely to be just as valid as mine.

I think a general understanding of the law does grant more familiarity even in respect to more narrow areas of the law. One of my friends clerked at the Supreme Court and recently wrote a book on the Court and its history, and I think his general analysis meshes well with your own. Again, not national security law, but rather constitutional law. But when discussing definitions of things like "gross negligence" and "willful intent", which mean different things in a legal setting than in general language use, legal expertise is critical.

This go around a ton of State Propositions which usually happens when there is a Presidental vote. Reading thru the huge voter guide magazine of issues, came across one of the more silly propositions. Strange there have been no TV ad campaigns on this. How bad is Prop 60? In a rare display of unity, California’s Democratic Party and Republican Party are opposed to this "important" issue.

Requires producers of adult films to pay for performer vaccinations, testing, and medical examinations related to sexually transmitted infections.

I think it has been interesting to see how little discussion of the US election we've had here over the past few months, given how actively I feel like we'd discussed them in past election years. I suppose that has something to do with the very high unlikability of both candidates, the high degree of defensiveness one must put up to justify their vote for either, etc.

I am not really complaining that we haven't had some lively debates given how polarizing the candidates seem to be, but still a little surprised nonetheless.

I don't think anyone can really be blunt about their feelings on this election without offending the supporters of the opposing party. I know I can't.

the whole thing is fucked. i watched like 10 minutes of the debate before i shut it off because it was making me physically ill. i'm not voting this year because i refuse to take part in this whole disgusting debacle.

CONSPIRACY THEORY!

Bear with me here guys. This seems like a long shot, but I've been rolling this around in my head a lot the last few weeks. If I don't let this conspiracy theory out of my brain, I risk an aneurysm.


Not too long ago, Donald Trump was a registered democrat. He was on extra friendly terms with the Clinton family.
WHAT IF the Donald is a Trojan horse in the Republican party! Seems far-fetched, right? Almost as far-fetched as a billionaire villain becoming the dark horse winner of the Republican national primary.

So here's the plan: Donald Trump makes a secret pact with the Clinton family to help propel Hillary into the Oval Office. Donald uses H.L. Mencken-levels of cynicism to predict that nationalist rhetoric peppered with thinly-veiled racism will draw the ultra-right-wing fringe out of the woodworks and into the polls on primary day. Marco Rubio (the one man with the best chance of defeating Hillary) gets booed off the stage at the Republican primaries for refusing to endorse this wolf in elephant's clothing.

Once he has won the party's nomination, the Donald can steer the grand old party right off the cliff. Donald can divide the party worse than a dozen neocon vs tea party debates. Even stalwart republican lock-steppers like Ben Stein can't stand him.

This is how Hillary Clinton will win the election.
