I think a general understanding of the law does grant more familiarity even in respect to more narrow areas of the law. One of my friends clerked at the Supreme Court and recently wrote a book on the Court and its history, and I think his general analysis meshes well with your own. Again, not national security law, but rather constitutional law. But when discussing definitions of things like "gross negligence" and "willful intent", which mean different things in a legal setting than in general language use, legal expertise is critical.prfsnl_gmr wrote:National security law I not exactly my area of expertise, however; so, most opinions on it are likely to be just as valid as mine.
