Silent Hill Remake imminent for PSP and Wii?

Picked up this bit of info after hearing about Umbrella Chronicles 2 for Wii. I'm not entirely sure what to think of this but all I can say is I hope it turns out good. Climax did a good job with Origins in my opinion so I'm not too worried about it other than it possibly being on the Wii, I just hope they won't tack on gimmicky waggle controls.

I'd be into it. I didn't play silent hill the first time around, and i hear that the newer ones arn't great. At this point- i think a ps1 game might look a little bad to me and pull me out of the moment.

God I hope so. Silent Hill is my favorite to favorite of favorite to bestest and awesomest of game series. So my disappointment with SHHC was very depressing. Hopefully tey use a Japanese Dev to make the remake so they don't ruin one of the best entries in the series.

It's a different Dev, Double Helix did Homecoming, Climax did Origins. But I think as long as they stick really close to the original formula, there won't be a big chance for ruination.

I'm glad to see this on PS2 as well. And Zork, just finishing up Origins and they did a commendable job. It wasn't as creepy as SH3, maybe because you could jump in and out of the nightmare world at will. Great game though and I hope they make this remake of SH the definitive verision.

If nothing else, Origins had some amazing monster designs. My absolute favorite was the disembodied head-brace. It's shadow creeped the hell out of me.
