So what have you guys been watching lately?

well I mean, "Shining Star" played a prominent role in DD.

I actually thought Daredevil's second season was awful, and largely because of Elektra

Punisher was awesome though

so we started watching Gotham - the first two episodes so far. Enjoying it more than I thought I would. It was my wife's idea. As far as superhero stuff, the world of Batman is her favorite.

And re-watching Jessica Jones so my wife could finally see it. Watched the first two there as well and she's digging it. I'm loving it even though I only watched it a few months ago.

Ok, finally we announced it. Regular Show and Adventure Time are ending. Regular Show is just now starting its final season while Adventure Time will end in 2018.

Jessica Jones is heavy on women's issues, and it touches on things that people like you and I (i.e., men) don't necessarily notice or think about. (Apparently...the world is a lot more threatening place to a 5'6" 120 lb. woman than it is to a 6'5" 215 lb. man.) My wife appreciated the fact that the show confronted those issues with a semblance of the gravity they deserve. She also appreciated the fact that the show featured a strong, complicated female lead. Most of all, however, she enjoyed the fact that Jessica Jones was exceptionally daring, exciting, well-acted, well-paced, and well-written show.

Also - and at your suggestion - We have been watching Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell. It is totally, totally awesome, and I can't wait to read the book after we finish the series. Thanks for putting us onto that, Stark!

Glad you're enjoying Strange and Norrell, we're about to start on the latter half of it, I took a break and mainlined Jessica Jones. I should probably hurry before we get into Luke Cage.

2 episodes into Luke Cage. Enjoying it. Def a different direction for the Marvel stuff on Netflix so far. Leans more towards JJ for being a very character-study kind of deal.
