Exactly. Just the RPGs would make it worth it. For all that I've finished on the PS2, there's still quite a bit that I haven't!Exhuminator wrote:Man, a portable PS2 that could play ISOs off a memory card would be fan-damn-tastic.

So did anyone else pick up Psycho-Pass and, if so, what do you make of it?
I'm only an hour or two in, but I'm really enjoying it so far. I have to say the story and setting and atmosphere etc. is really cool in my opinion. The story has gripped me so far and I like that it has quite a few choices (which I'm told actually have big impacts and the game is made to be replayed multiple times).
I'm somewhat surprised that reviews have been a little bit mixed on this one, even from fans of Visual Novels. I haven't seen the anime, so can't comment on how it compares, but I find the story engaging so far (maybe it'll drag though the further I get into it?), which is more than I can say for some of the visual novels that have been universally praised. Like Steins;Gate, for example, which I really wanted to enjoy, but after getting about 6 hours in and feeling like NOTHING.IS.HAPPENING., I kinda ended up getting bored and losing interest. Don't get me wrong, the main time travel storyline and the characters did interest me up until a point, but the constant, pointless, mundane chatter between the characters about shit that had nothing to do with the overarching plot, as well as all the Japanese slang, kinda grated on me eventually. I ended up Googling something along the lines of 'when does Steins;Gate get interesting?' and when the answers tended to be way further down the line than I was in the game (after putting over 5 hours into it), I thought fuck that and gave up. It also annoyed me that there seemed to be no choices (although choices were an aspect praised by people, so they must be few and far between or much further into the game than I got).

Re: Playstation Vita thread
I'm planning on ordering it soon. I've seen both seasons of the anime. The first season is amazing and I wholeheartedly recommend it. The second season is fairly terrible, and it's because they changed the director and some of the writing staff. But it is that amazing first season that makes me want to play this VN, in hopes that the VN is closer to it in design, rather than the second season.

Yeah, I'm not sure if it was you, someone else here or if I'm thinking of an entirely different forum, but I remember reading someone say that the first season of the anime was brilliant, but the second season was terrible. I'll definitely try it some time.Exhuminator wrote:I'm planning on ordering it soon. I've seen both seasons of the anime. The first season is amazing and I wholeheartedly recommend it. Yeah, I got it. I wasn't even aware of the game until the Vita version came out. I guess the original Android/iOS version didn't get a lot of fanfare or I just missed it.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Dusted off the Vita to download this:

I remember the Game Boy version really well and loved it back in the day, so was really excited for the remake. It's really faithful to the original, so I got quite a bit of nostalgia from playing it. The art direction and graphics are okay, if a little 'meh'. Gameplay-wise, it has aged a bit and it's pretty basic, but it's fun enough.

Finally done with collecting Vita bought my last game (that I'm aware of) Corpse Party Blood Drive and saving it for Halloween time gonna play the series and watch Scream Queens. I installed it and tested it on PSTV to confirm its compatibility, while I not spoil the opening to this game I will say it's a very graphically disturbing game can't wait to play.

Blood Drive is great. I think the first Corpse Party is the best, but Blood Drive is a hundred times better than Book of Shadows.TEKTORO wrote:Finally done with collecting Vita bought my last game (that I'm aware of) Corpse Party Blood Drive and saving it for Halloween time gonna play the series and watch Scream Queens. I just ordered a second PSTV, need to hook it up so I can play newer games on it without compromising any future PSTV hacks that come along.
Can't wait for Valkyrie Drive, but I guess I have no choice in that matter.

The first game has many flaws but it's still very much worth playing despite of that but the rest of the games arent worth touching.ElkinFencer10 wrote:Blood Drive is great. BOB was just really dull and lame and i barely got anything out of it but it was still lot better than Blood Drive. Thing's in Blood Drive got just ridicilous and i hated it. The new art style is also ugly as hell and the game manages to run really sloppily on the Vita. There's really anything positive to say about it.
