Congratulations, you have the prime iteration of the platform. Why would you even want an inferior PSTV?

I can understand it. I have the OLED Vita and a PS TV, and while I usually use the Vita to play in bed, I bought the PS TV because I generally prefer consoles and a console experience. I've got a nice big TV; I want to use it for every game I can.

Yeah, being able to play PSP games (and the Vita ones that support it) on the TV is pretty awesome. And it looks much better for PSP stuff than the TV-out on the PSP.

I mean, I guess if it was an OLED HDTV, then I kind of get it.

Every so often it'll happen with Amazon-stored inventory as well. A given bin only gets counted once a week (to reconcile any discrepancies between what the system thinks is there and what actually is there) so that gives an opportunity to sell you something they thought they had but don't.

I wanted it more as a novelty than anything else.

MrPopo: it's just an annoying inconvenience.

Bigger screen. There are times I get tired of playing on tiny handhelds. The Vita is nice, of course, even if you don't have one of those magical OLED screens. Sometimes, though, you just want a comfortable controller and a 50" screen, ya know? ;)

But... but... that's what console games are for...

I'm the type that wants to play console games on my handheld and handheld games on my console/TV. I want to play however I dang well please. It's why I'd (metaphorically, of course) kill for a true, portable PS2.

It also doesn't help that many of the games that I want to play these days are only on handhelds. :P

Man, a portable PS2 that could play ISOs off a memory card would be fan-damn-tastic.
