Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Those of you who know me know that I've been involved in arcade and pinball collecting much more so than console collecting lately. There's not a ton of "OMG" deals that happen in the arcade collecting world, but I had two this weekend and wanted to share with y'all.
I picked up a PGA Tour Golf game for $20 from a Facebook marketplace post. Fair condition overall, boots and plays blind. I took the back panel off and the monitor was just unplugged. Not a bad deal for $20. This is the only photo I have of it right now:

Yesterday I drove two hours to northeastern Indiana with a couple friends to pick up 7 machines at $100 each. We ended up with:
a twin Sega Rally 2 setup
Arctic Thunder
Tekken 5
Virtua Fighter 4
Johnny Nero Action Hero
World Soccer Finals (dedicated, rare-ish title)
Super High Impact conversion in a Sega Quartet cabinet
Pics here:
Haven't tested everything fully yet, but so far the Sega Rally 2 cabinets work just fine, Johnny Nero is playing blind, the Arctic Thunder doesn't boot but the monitor works, the World Soccer Finals also doesn't boot, and the Super High Impact works and plays but has some odd sound issues. Haven't gotten to Tekken 5 or Virtua Fighter 4 yet.

Amazing. I feel the same way.

Thanks guys. I've ramped up my arcade collecting in the last couple years. I have four candy cabinets at home and a couple pins, and a garage full of projects (around 30 games). Eventually I'll find space for all of them.

Stunning. Does Arctic Thunder have it's entire sit down snow mobile seat to play on still? They had one of them back when I was at Midway to play on when they were finalizing then releasing the thing and it stuck around. Hard but fair game, quite fun. A good selection of stuff there and insane they were only $100/pc. I'm glad I don't see deals like that around here, I'd be depressed not knowing where to put the stuff. It's tight enough for me having just my Neo Geo cabinet and Pin-Bot in here. Somehow and I'd get shit for it, I'd have found a way to get Sega Rally some room that's for damn certain.

Yeah, the Rally cabs went to my buddy, and I'm sorta bummed about it, that's the cream of the crop for sure. Arctic Thunder does have the seat, and I'm hoping to have it working this weekend. I need a driving game in my lineup that isn't Outrun.Tanooki wrote:Stunning. Does Arctic Thunder have it's entire sit down snow mobile seat to play on still? The games are Scramble, Berzerk, Pole Position, and Spinball. Some of the overlays are cracked but they're all included. It cost me about $240 at a pawn shop near Emerald Isle.
