more resident evil for the wii (3 games... kinda)

Capcom announced that they are going to make another light gun RE game for the wii. A sequel to umbrella chronicles called darkside chronicles. I looks like it is going to primarily be from resident evil 2.

They also announced that they are bringing the wii versions of biohazard and biohazard 0 stateside.

The 'remakes' don't seem like anything other than strait ports of the gamecube exclusive games. Does anyone know differently? Has anyone played the Japanese versions? Are the graphics updated at all? From the grainy youtube videos it was hard to tell, but it looks like it is a strait port.

However- i find a strait port of a gamecube game to the wii to be a little silly. I guess the only advantage is you don't have to plug in a gamecube controller and you could use the wii hard drive to store the save data. Which... seems like not a whole lot of positives for the price.

does anyone have more details on the ports?

I missed these games on the cube... was considering getting them.. I may just wait and get them on Wii now...

Here's to hoping they change the control scheme to more like re4. I HATE the tank like controls of the original resident evils.

From the looks of the Japanese games, I don't think there has been an update to anything let alone the controls.

Yeah, these re-releases are just updated for the wii mote, thats about it.
