is Super Mario Sunshine really any good?

The parts you play without FLUDD are like 9/10 quality.

The FLUDD parts are like 7/10 quality.

I beat the game but I wasn't enthralled about it.

Yeah, maybe I'll just replay one of the Galaxy games or 3D World.

I will add by far the most challenging 3D Mario I've ever played, were some of those FLUDDless levels. So if you're looking for some good ol' fashioned ass rage, Sunshine's got ya covered. But no it does not compare to Galaxy.

If you didn't hate portables I'd recommend the piss outta Super Mario 3D Land. That game is rad ass to the max.

lol, I was just hearing today how there's a divide among fans with Galaxy 1 vs Galaxy 2, the same can be said about 3D Land vs 3D World.

I'll probably get a 2DS someday and have to get it. I freaking loved 3D World.

Exhum is pretty much correct with his assessment. Sunshine... err, shines when it's not reliant on FLUDD. And even with it, it's not awful at all. Still, if you've already played all the other great ones, it wouldn't hurt to give it another go.

3D Land plays it a bit safer than 3D World. It's still fantastic, regardless.
