I got Kirby from Target for $3.88. They didn't have any of the others though. The new Splatoon variants were on clearance as well.PartridgeSenpai wrote:After seeing that, I rushed out to my local target to see if they had any. They did, but it only wrang up at the listed price of 30 bucks. If you're good to pay that for Xenoblade X (as I was, as I didn't have it yet and didn't wanna waste the trip), it's not quite 40 bucks off, but it's still a good deal.darsparx wrote:@Irish that's just odd. I thought the game would sell pretty well. I know I enjoyed it when I had time for it even if I've gone back to playing some older non-completed games. If mine's doing the same I need to grab some of those, no matter what it does to me right now :-\
On a related note, the new Kirby amiibos are on sale for 6.50 as well at Target, for those interested. Ryu amiibos are only 4 bucks a piece new!

Re: Games Acquired 2016
So another pretty big pile of stuff to start the month as usual
. Went up to my Mom's in Charleston, WV and hit a few places with her and my brother.
Anyways as usual I nabbed a few things off Amazon. Mostly new stuff but I have some AWD stuff coming in tomorrow
.
1. Assault Suit Leynos (PS4)- $17.15 NEW
2. State of Decay Year One Survival Edition (XB1)- $16.49 NEW
Also while I rarely frequent eBay I do occasionally pop into the game section and check out the ending soon listings. Ended up grabbing a two small PS1 lots from a guy on the cheap for $13.50 shipped.
3. NHL Powerplay '96 (PS1) CIB
4. Namco Museum Vol. 1 (PS1) CIB)
5. Arcade Greatest Hits the Atari Collection 1 (PS1) CIB
6. William's Arcade's Greatest Hits (PS1) CIB
7. Agile Warrior F-IIIX (PS1) Disc only with half the long box manual in a jewel case.
8. Nuclear Strike (PS1) CIB
9. Nascar 98 (PS1) CIB
10. Interactive CD Sampler Pack Volume Three (PS1) Disc only
First place I hit with my Mom and Brother was the Capitol Flea Market. This place is worth checking out if you end up in the area there are a few dedicated gaming stalls inside that mostly have higher pricing, but the best deals are usually found outside.
First guy I hit was a reseller outside in the covered portion he had a ton of DVDs mostly but there were also around 30-40 older games in two $5 bins(mostly sports) as well as a bin with some higher priced NES/SNES games which were in really good shape but close to if not above market value. Ended up picking up a few NES games out of the cheapy bins.
11. Rad Racer (NES) - $5
12. Deja Vu (NES)- $5
13. Gauntlet II (NES)- $5 label and casing are pretty beat to hell
.
Next I hit a guy selling stuff out of his van in the parking lot. Guy had about 10 games he was selling for $1 so I picked up a few and talked with him a bit. Told me about a pretty rad box of PS1 stuff that he had scored at a yard sale but he was keeping most of it and selling the higher end dups he got online
. Still scored some decent stuff and we talked about survival horror games for a solid 20 minutes.
14. NBA Jam Tournament Edition (Genesis)- $1
15. Mario Andretti Racing (Genesis)- $1
16. 007 Racing (PS1)- $1 CIB
17. Marble Master (PS1)- $1 CIB
I then hit one of the resellers inside who had a pretty nice shop most of the stuff was a bit high for my taste, but he did have a decent selection of older titles. I ended up hitting a bargain bin he had of GBA stuff that was 2 for $5. Walked away with 11 for $25
18. Game & Watch Gallery 4 (GBA) label damage
19. Big Mutha Truckers (GBA) something compels me to by games in this series think I have them on the PS2, GBA, DS, and etc. now
.
20. Need for Speed Porsche Unleashed (GBA)
21. Need for Speed Carbon Own the City (GBA)
22. Rainbow Six Rogue Spear (GBA) didn't realize there was a GBA port. Was hoping for campy FPS but it looks like a decent top down squad based shooter. Game even has multiplayer
23. X-men Reign of Apocalypse (GBA)
24. Motocross Maniacs Advance (GBA) This game looks awesome it's a sidescrolling racer with some crazy tracks.
25. Super Dodge Ball (GBA) Been wanting this one for ages although they changes up alot of stuff due to licensing issues
.
26. Monster Force (GBA)
27. Konami's Collector's Series Arcade Advanced (GBA)
28. Crazy Chase (GBA)
Finally I found some decent stuff in a mixed stall that a family was running they had a handful of newer Nintendo stuff. Most of it was stuff I had so I passed over it at first not wanting to fish them out, but I did pick up a Wii classic controller for $4 and while leaving I decided to look through their 3DS games and bumped into a copy of Zelda and the Phantom Hourglass (DS) in a Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D case for $5.
Other than that we hit a bunch of antique malls most of which were pretty dry as far as gaming/electronics went. Only one I had any luck with was Picker's Paradise Antique Mall which had a lot of vendor stalls with a nice variety of stuff including electronics, toys, and a few games. Ended up picking up an Apple 5.25 floppy drive and a CIB copy of NBA Jam Tournament Edition (Genesis) for $9.

Re: Games Acquired 2016
Yea I don't get why Luigi U on it's own is so valuable when it can be bought with Mario Bros U for £25? I guess it's a rarity thing but it's so sad how a rare game often equals pointless in your collection game.ヤム-YAM wrote:Got a little Wii U games batch recently, all new and sealed :
- Xenoblade Chronicles X
- Super Mario 3D World

The first two were bought with a voucher, so yay free games !
The last one was the most expensive. It's terrifying how its value has increased, if you're able to find a copy for cheap just go for it.
edit* Xenoblade Chronicales X is my game of the year. Love it, so classy, sounds and looks amazing and I like the fact it's unintuitive in that you have to really discover how to play it.
Do not repeat the tactics which have gained you one victory, but let your methods be regulated by the infinite variety of circumstances.

Re: Games Acquired 2016
Little bit late on last months update!
Previous months:
August
Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards Nintendo 64 - £44
Die Hard Arcade Saturn - £25
Flower, Sun and Rain DS - free
3D Dot Game Heroes PS3 - free
Mega Man X SNES
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars SNES - £65 for both
Lost Planet 3 PSN
Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3 PSN
Super Puzzle Fighter 2: Turbo HD Remix PSN
Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo: HD Remix PSN
Okami HD PSN
Remember Me PSN
Mega Man 9 PSN
Mega Man 10 PSN
Devil May Cry HD Collection PSN
Resident Evil HD Remaster PSN
Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster PSN
Strider PSN - £11 for all capcom PSN games
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X PSN - £24.99
Tomba! PSN - £3.29
Klonoa: Door to Phantomile PSN - £2.49
Pac-Man Championship Edition DX PSN - £2.49
Wonder Boy in Monster Land PSN - £1.69
Um Jammer Lammy PSN - £2.49
Vib Ribbon PSN - £2.49
Space Channel 5: Part 2 PSN - £1.69
Total: 26 games, £186.62
I got a lot of PSN games this month, but my bigger purchases were my 4 physical retro games for Saturn, SNES and N64. Both SNES games were US imports - Mario RPG never made it to PAL regions, and Mega Man X is just really pricy here.
Flower, Sun and Rain and 3D Dot Game Heroes were both very generous gifts from my secret santa.
Most of the PSN games are from the recent Capcom Humble Bundle, but I also took advantage of a PAL region retro sale on PSN to pick up a few things I wanted to try too. Project DIVA was neither, I just really like those games.
I got a lot of rhythm games this month.

In all seriousness, though, I actually don't go that often anymore. I did today because my roommate dragged me to the grocery store with him and it's in the same strip mall, but most of my games come from Amazon these days.
