Muv-Luv is on Steam now playa.

But yeah, the VN Database is a decent (the best?) way to research this genre.

I picked up a PC-FX VN this year. Haven't played it yet but it looks swell!

Do they have Muv-Luv Alternative? I mean Muv-Luv is good and should be played first, but Alternative takes it to 11.

Alternative is not out yet. Not sure when it will be out either.

I backed the Kickstarter so I'm waiting for my Vita copies :)

Yep, never beating Trillion. It's started crashing every other time I fight a sub-boss (which is like every 10 minutes). Of course, the game waits until I've already invested like 5 or 6 hours to start crashing.

So that's why a 2016 game was $13 brand new.

Yeah. Even if it worked properly, it's just okay. It gets REALLY repetitive and boring about halfway in. I VERY rarely say this about Compile Heart/Idea Factory games, but you're not missing anything with this one.

Ah that's too bad... It seems like an interesting concept :| I'll probably try it anyway though since I already have it and it was cheap.

I know for a fact people have managed to beat Trillion on Vita, seen some member reviews on other sites for it. Maybe ol' Elky just had extra bad luck. Still, if the game is boring, that's a different story.

Oh, I'm fairly certain I just had bad luck; there'd have likely been a recall if every copy just didn't work. If the game were engaging, I'd power through and just save every sixty seconds because it's not a constant thing; it just very, very frequently crashes on me. The problem is that it's suuuuuuper boring after chapter 3 or so.

My sweet child, someday you will thrust yourself deep into the world of retro JRPGs and realize how lackluster all this NIS stuff is (tiddy factor notwithstanding).
