OMG where to start? Ugh. I'm sure you all assume I liked Batman V Superman because I like bad movies and defend them. And you're mostly right. But man, BVS was a good movie wrapped in a bad one. Wow. What a baffling mess. Basically there was good ideas and good scenes buried in this shit.

I actually did like 'sad Batman.' I liked Affleck in this. I liked that after 20 years he was depressed and just like IDGAF. At first I was mad to see him use a gun a at all, but it made sense in the depression sense I guess.

But so much was wrong. It was sooooooo much longer than it had to be. Like literally could have cut off half the movie and been fine.

I was surprised I liked Jesse Eisenberg so much as Lex tho. And the actual fight against Batman & Superman was good. And Wonder Woman was awesome in this. And the set up of Justice League was actually great. And, honestly, any movie with Amy Adams in a bath tub is cool with me.

But ugh... there was just a lot wrong with this. I mean, I liked it... but I felt like I had to overlook a lot of stuff to get to that point.

I never even heard of this. My wife read the book and wanted to watch it. Same author as Gone Girl. Really good. Impressed. And like GG, a total OMGWTF ending.

Basically had the complete opposite reaction you had to BvS. I liked it despite most, but thought Lex was abysmal. Dude tried way too damn hard to be Heath Ledger's Joker or something.

BVS isn't a bad movie it's just 2-3 movies worth of content smashed into a passable movie.

that feels really accurate, yeah. It felt more like three 45 min movies crammed together in a disjointed fashion than one cohesive movie. Again, I LIKED it - but I was also just baffled at a lot of the execution.

I will say this - Suicide Squad was much better. And I'm def excited for Justice League.

It's kinda sad how accurate this is. I enjoyed it but felt like they condensed about that much content into one movie....

I'll admit this movie has some flaws and plot holes but all in all is a good movie to watch. Though parents around us had kids that seemed a little young to watch the movie(we're talking just barely out of preschool age children...get my cousin in there and he would've ran out screaming even though it's not that scary). It's definitely a good one if your looking for some japanese storytelling and two really awesome plot twists(or was it Chinese? I kinda get them mixed up from time to time).

Yeah i couldn't exactly remember which it was. I've been watching a ton of digimon after it and wasn't sure entirely since my brain said japanese but I wanted to type Chinese and don't know why. Still a really good movie with some interesting things chosen in it. And to think it was done by the same people who did Coraline, ParaNorman, and Boxtrolls made it a definite one i had to see. Lives up to that reputation I had coming off the other ones. They're all solid 4's for me and Kubo is no exception.

Recently this was on The Move Channel:

One of my favorite lesser-known horror films. Though according to this article, there's no print out there and as a result there's no real chance of a Blu-Ray release, which sucks even more when you realize that there's no DVD release currently in print.

And then a few nights ago, they played two cult classic horror films on The Movie Channel:

As is typical of double features, the first feature is the superior of the two.
