Sonic Mania was playable at PAX with a Genesis controller.

The Sonic cycle is over. We finally got our good sequel to Sonic 3 & Knuckles.

Man I never realized how awesome Nintendo Power is until I picked up my first magazine just recently at a garage sale (issue 56). Theres lots of hidden info on snes games that I never knew about and also a complete move set for Turtles tournament fighter. I might have to start hunting for these now.

Just saw a trailer for Friday the 13th the game. That had to be one of the dumbest and pointless things I have ever had the displeasure of seeing. Lets kill a bunch of people violently and show nothing else about the game. The ad should have said, "hey kids excessive violence, buy it now". When you hide the game behind a trailer like that it is a good sign the game is dumb. Nothing about a story, nothing about anything.

I was hoping for thrilling survival horror game, let down again.

I haven't seen any of the trailers, but the reviews I've seen suggest it as a one-on-four multiplayer game with one person as the killer and the others as the victims, similar to say, Left 4 Dead or Evolve, and I got the idea it was either hide/seek as long as possible, or hide/seek with some small chances to attack the killer.

It never really attempted to be survival horror, IMO.

Correct, it is F13 Evolve, not survival horror at all. I kickstarted it actually.

That sounds more-so exactly like Dead By Daylight, which is 4 teen-players running away from a killer-player around a map.
