I'd stick with the exclusives as they are pretty much quality.

As far as the Resistance games go, playing those after KZ2 is like sleeping with a chick who just lays there.

If you could plunk down money for one game and one game only - let's face it - most of us do despite our huge lists - I'd go for LittleBigPlanet. No PS3 gamer has any excuse not to own this title.

Having said this, I echo others' sentiments regarding their recommendations, particularly Valkyria Chronicles and Ratchet & Clank.

After reading the whole thread I can't believe no one mentioned the game that received the game of the year award. Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The best thing about this game is, it's everywhere, has a huge online community, and used copies can be had for about 20 dollars. I have World at War and it's a great game, I jump back between them. There was an expansion pack for Modern Warfare, providing you with 4 new maps, the map pack was 10 dollars USD. Last week they ran a promotion for it for 1/2 price and double experience points for the week. Street Fighter 4 is also a must have, it as well has a massive online community. I don't know if your a fan of the Rockband and Guitar Hero series, but those are worth checking out if you don't mind shelling out the coin for a new system or finding the used ones out there. Also to mention is there is a lot of expansions coming out for those series i.e. Metallica and AC/DC. Valkyrie Chronicles is a fabulous games as well. Grand Theft Auto 4 is being sold for roughly 20-25 dollars USD. Soul Calibur 4 can be had for cheap pricing as well. Resident Evil 5, just launched, I haven't played it yet, it's still in the wrapping staring at me right now as I type this. If you like sports, the Skate series is very good, as well as Fifa. There is also a Command and Conquer game coming out shortly. DC Universe online is also gonna come out as well. If you like racing games, you should check out Dirt and Grid, they were a lot of fun to play. Not too mention, there is a Dirt 2 coming out this year as well. Hopefully this helps you make some decisions or maybe this complicates it. :D

We mentioned most of the games you did, but there were a couple you brought up that I had to respond to.

Get it on a PC, where it's meant to be played.
There is also a Command and Conquer game coming out shortly.
Yes, Red Alert 3, which should also be played on the PC where it belongs.

Also, add Ninja Gaiden Sigma. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, I guess, but I liked it. It's tough as nails though :(

Hmmm perhaps if he asked for PC recommendations then you would have a valid point. To say that your PC version of the game is the holy grail would be a gross overstatement. I don't wanna seem like a jerk, but for some reason lately, every PC gamer I come across bashes the hell out of consoles. If you don't have anything positive to say about anything stay out of topics. The OP doesn't wanna hear about the games being arguably better on the PC. I hope to god PCs would be better, they are constantly being updated and upgraded, where as a console has a shelf life of about 4 years before a new system replaces it and brings with it the newest technology. So if you don't mind get back up on your high horse and resume your life behind the monitor slaying orcs and dragons in WOW.

Settle down gents. Thanks JDMThoughts I never thought about them, but I already have the C&C and COD games on PC (cept for COD3 which I have for 360) And I have GTA4 on 360 also. Why do people always degenerate into squabbles over which is better :? , just play whatcha brung. Also I have Dirt and GRID on PC because of my groovy steering wheel.

Soul calibur 4 certainly piques my interest. Loved number 2 on xbox. That may wind up being my next target. Although I may hold off for a few weeks, I went a little nuts yesterday and spent $140 on a mad little jaunt around town that netted me Battletoads(nes)$5,Life force(nes)$5 and much much more.

Is Heavenly Sword really any good? I've heard mixed opinions about this game.

Heavenly Sword is good fun while it lasts - the combat is enjoyable, the graphics are nice and the story/general cinematic quality of the game is above-par. However, the game is very short with no replay value - also, some sections require use of the SixAxis control and like most developers, Ninja Theory didn't do a particularly good job of implimenting them - the result is that these sections can be quite frustrating and I personally found them to majorly detract from the rest of the games positives. I'd definetly reccomend Heavenly Sword if you can find it cheap, or rent it - but don't pay full price for somthing that won't last more than 5-8 hours.

If you are looking for a hack & slash action adventure game, i'd personally reccomend Viking: Battle for Asgard (assuming you haven't played it on the 360 already) - highly enjoyable combat system with an interesting story set in a large and open world, plus it provides a good 10-15 hours of gameplay - much better value for money than Heavenly Sword imo.
