What was the last movie you've seen?
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
That's ok with me. Many horror movies are morality tales anyway, so I'm supposed to find faults with the "heroes." It's why they're getting killed in the first place.

Just watched the legendary Top Gun.
It was okay?

Other stuff I've watched recently
Transporter Refueled- Okay but definitely not as good without Statham.
Hardcore Henry- Cool concept with the first person view through the whole movie and a few interesting action sequences. However the story was kind of rubbish.
Crimson Peak- Not much of a horror movie really came off a little bland and predictable. Did like the house and props though.
The 5th Wave- Interesting but felt really rushed with a lot of sequel bait. Guessing this is another trilogy based on a teen novel.

The director change sounds like an upgrade to me, considering the last 15 years of Scott's directorial work. More importantly, Villeneuve is working with master cinematographer Roger Deakins again. Sicario was a Trumpily insane film, but it was visually beautiful. I'm really looking forward to what they come up with.Ack wrote:Instead of Vangelis, Icelandic composer Johan Johansson will be handling the music. He did the soundtracks for Sicario and Prisoners. Here are some examples of his work:Xeogred wrote:So guys, more reasons Blade Runner 2 needs to cease to being a thing:
- Vangelis confirmed for not coming back
- Suddenly Ridley Scott isn't directing it (not that I was excited with him anyways wanting to shove it in our faces thesedays that Deckard IS a replicant!)
- A construction worker died on set recently
HOLLYWOOD is the answer I guess? Ugh.

The new director is apparently Denis Villeneuve, who also directed Prisoners, Sicario, Enemy, and Incendies.

I liked Prometheus, but I can admit that it had a lot of problems.
Come to think of it...that statement applies to most of Ridley Scott's work. I like it all, but most of his films have problems.

Just had myself a double feature:

Really, really, REALLY hope that they make episode 3!

oh, I actually didn't realize that many of us here did like Prometheus. I like, kinda loved it - despite any 'problems.' I thought it looked amazing, had some genuinely scary scenes, and was a totally awesome head-trip. I'm actually really excited about Scott's Alien Covenant.
