Fallout 4
Re: Fallout 4
I kind of wish we had multiple perk trees for each skill like we had with Skyrim was really kind of expecting it. Would have been so cool with the different weapon classes and skills present in fallout out.
Re: Fallout 4
Lvl 42 and the game is becoming a bit tedious. trying to complete just about every quest i can find before committing to a faction. i still don't like the workshop component but i think this is mostly because i'm on console. seems like it would be really fun/easier with a keyboard and mouse.

My issue with scavenging has been slightly improved. Found out that hitting R over a container or body opens up the transfer menu which lets you view all the items stats and components. Still have to memorize the stats of stuff that isn't in containers, but having that helps a little bit.
Also has anyone noticed corpses disappearing? Seems like whenever I fight a large group of raiders half the bodies are gone by the time I go back to loot them. Might just be that they blend into the environment, but it doesn't seem like it.
I'm finding Ammo to be a chore so far as well so many enemies are bullet sponges in the higher lvl areas and even with picking every place I run into dry I'm constantly having to swap weapons sometimes 2-3+ times per battle in the more intense fights. Things have improved a little since I've gotten some stores setup but usually they only carry .38 ammo which is about as useful as a BB gun against the boss class mobs.

Re: Fallout 4
So the final DLC came out this week.
You can either play the whole thing through, or be the good guy and finish it in 30 minutes flat. No spoilers but all I'll say is that I completed the quest called "open season" as soon as it was available.
Reminds me of Far Cry 4's secret ending.

Re: Fallout 4
How are the DLC's in general? I'll probably buy the game again on PC (should have gotten it there first) to hit up the DLC someday.
Though then I kind of think of just replaying New Vegas.

This is probably for the best. New Vegas was just awesome...Xeogred wrote:Though then I kind of think of just replaying New Vegas.

Re: Fallout 4
Well this DLC kind of pissed me off. You are presented with basically two ways of skinning a cat: either play along as a bad guy and get the most out of the experience or be the savior and finish it as fast as it took to download the whole thing. They only wrote the "bad" quest line in.
Far Harbor was a better experience. Larger map, better weapons, better story, and tied into the main story far better.
The other pieces of DLC were add-ons to the settlement system and the DLC with the robots was enjoyable for the most part. A season pass that cost me $24 is a better pill to swallow that the $30 to $50 it cost others

I didn't realize there was another way to play Bethesda games.casterofdreams wrote:They only wrote the "bad" quest line in.

Okay okay maybe, just maybe, I'm overreacting.MrPopo wrote:I didn't realize there was another way to play Bethesda games.casterofdreams wrote:They only wrote the "bad" quest line in.
After putting it down since Far Harbor and playing through the Witcher 2 & 3 to completion, then coming back to this only to run into the same bugs since launch kind of lends to my behavior. They are different games this I know. Different writing styles. Different plot tackling different issues. Different quest layouts. First world problems granted, but I've been spoiled by Witcher 3.
God I sound like a big baby...
Re: Fallout 4
I'm not actually trying to undercut your complaint; I've just always played the "bad guy" in games with those sort of choices because those tend to be the more fun way to play. The main exception is when the "bad" path is killing vs. the "good" path going non-lethal. There I go non-lethal for the additional challenge (usually combined with increased rewards of not getting shot at).
