Hah that video is amusing, also probably looked cheese even when it was new too. Makes you wonder who those actors are and where they are now.

The Ice block advertisement is definitely a graphical effect. I don't know if that was done in a dark room or on an early version of Photoshop (say ver2.5 maybe). I am certain that they did not really freeze a SNES in ice for that advertisement.

It strikes me more as a glass or plastic "block of ice" that they placed it in. I mean, actually freezing a SNES shell could work too - and it'd be an insignificant cost really - but getting it quite that perfect looking seems unlikely.

Something in the back of my mind makes me think of an old story from anything from IGN64 to NES World or elsewhere, some interview where somehow that came up and I think it was actually a mix of some photo editing but also a plastic ice cube the system has placed over it to make it look real. I doubt google could turn something up so vague but who knows.

My girl today wanted to actually play something, wasn't SNES though, but I was happy she dug into a couple levels of Kirby's Adventure on NES which is in the SNES era at least by release date. ;)

You know what? ESPECIALLY when it's like that.
YES! This totally makes me want to punch my deck into the network and jack into the mainframe! lol

I haven't watched that in awhile. I forgot it has a Space Needle cameo in the 3D representation of the internet.
