Let's Get Ready to Party Co-op/Multiplayer Thread

Post by Fragems »

So I have a mountain of games in my backlog a good number of which have co-op and/or multiplayer yet I have no local friends to play with  . So I thought it would be cool to make a kind of master list where we could search for other players who are up for some mp/co-op that wasn't solely focused on a given platform or community. If anyone is interested post your name gamer tags and games that you are interested in destroying with your fellow racketeers.

Fragems (PSN: Fragems001) (XBL: Fragems) (Steam: Fragems) (Origin: Fragems)
Availability: Any day after 7pm EST although work is sporadic so I'm only guaranteed work on Saturdays leaving me free on week days pretty often.
Mic: Yes on all platforms.
Currently Interested In:
Dead Space 3 (PC: Origin)- Started it with a buddy but we only got about half way through :P.

The Division (PS4)- Beat it but I'm up for digging into it again. Elkin and I sunk quite a few hours into it around release. Don't have the expansions but may pick them up.

Earth Defense Force 4.1(PS4)- Looking for co-op stuck around chapter 30 or so but willing to grind through previous levels.

Freedom Wars (Vita)- Played solo through about the first quarter of the game before moving on. Might restart with a new character.

Gears of War Series (360/XB1) I own every entry in the series but have only ever beaten the first game wouldn't mind running through all of them. Would prefer to play the XB1 port of the original since I already beat it on 360.

God Eater Burst 2 + Resurrection (PS4)- Should be here Tuesday and I plan to dig into it immediately if anyone wants to join me.

Resident Evil 6 (PS4)- Looking for co-op finished Leon's story and got half way through Chris's solo before getting bored.

Toukiden Kiwami (PS4)- Just picked this up and would love to try it out in co-op.

Army of Two Series (360)- Played through the original 3 times with a buddy but never got around to playing the sequels would love to do a run through of all 3.

Owned and Willing to Jump In:
Aliens Colonial Marines (360)
Crackdown Series (360)
The Crew (PS4)
Dead Island Series (PC/PS3) Also Riptide only on 360

:( : Was looking forward to some God Eater today but apparently it shipped UPS and they are shit at getting packages here on time. So it will either get here tomorrow or later tonight.

Will probably be on the PS4 most of the day finishing up doom so if anyone wants to help me slay some alien ants in EDF hit me up.

Well UPS also delivers Amazon packages to our local post office as well so really USPS only handles the last leg of the trip on Prime packages. Over the last few weeks they have been consistently late though forcing us to either start our mail route then back track to pick the packages up or making us a day late on delivery. Bitch is when the packages get delayed to the next day we end up with double packages which is a freaking nightmare. Another big downer is as carriers we get paid 8 hours period no matter how late we are out, and having to work around late and/or double Amazon packages means I've had a lot of 10-11 hour work days recently :P.

They also have a tendency to beat the living hell out of packages when unloading them at the office.

Anyways looks like the package is out for delivery now so I should hopefully get it tonight as long as the UPS driver doesn't get lost.

Dude the only thing I can jump in on is Gears 2 on 360 and on top of that I don't mic it up, there are harmful frequencies that come through and if I fuck up my ears anymore I might aswell be dead. I have a lot of the PS4 stuff you wanna play but then again I rather buy more games than a PS+ sub, I actually think it's a mistake they wanna raise the price on those when in fact they should actually lower it (not by much) and see everyone have it. Maybe they have the metrics showing people are gonna buy it anyways making my suggestion shite. Lol
If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.

Yeah I have to reup my Gold subscription it ran out on the 18th apparently :P. Hate having to pay so much for online services that I would otherwise get free of charge on PC, but at least both Microsoft and Sony have gotten on the free game wagon making it a little more worthwhile.

If anyone has any games they want to play through I probably have it and I'm always in the mood for co-op. Mics aren't super important to me either they just make exploration and teamwork easier.

God Eater just showed up Burst 2 is pretty much an instantaneous install at only 10GB and the day one patch is only 600mb. However resurrection is going to be a little over an hour to download :P. Sucks that they didn't just include it on disc but whatever at least it's included.

Digging the case as well it has a nice foil sleeve :).

Been playing through God Eater Resurrection most of the day and I have to say the game play is a little bland. The levels are pretty small and are repeated very frequently. At least the story makes up for it though. I just wish there was some form of progression aside from just upgrading/crafting weapons and that targeting specific body parts on the monsters was easier since hitting weak points is a must unless you want to chop away for an 10+ minutes on an enemy. At least the co-op seems really easy to get into haven't had any trouble finding parties or joining them.

Did find out one sucky issue today though. Apparently you can't import your save from Resurrection to GE2 Rage Burst so I'll be starting from scratch again once I start the next game :P. Apparently there is some BS about RB2 not having some of the weapons and appearance options that Resurrection had so transfers would require certain things to be scrubbed so they didn't even bother implementing it although it may come later :P.

Really I'd say Freedom Wars on the Vita is a much better monster hunting game then this though and while I haven't had a ton of time in Monster Hunter games I'd say they stack up better as well given their larger more open maps and variety of enemies.
