Started watching Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norell last night as it popped up on Netflix. It is based on a book written by Susanna Clarke. It seems to have the feel of Harry Potter, but with more of a distinctly British haunting flair to it (what I would imagine Dr Who is like, but I didn't want to compare since I've not watched it.) The main characters are great and have a good sense of mystery about them, you don't always know what they're thinking. I'm a couple of episodes in and I'm hooked!

finally back to DD season 2... I'm actually kind of shocked at the level of violence this season. Damn. The episode where Punisher is being tortured? Just a crazy episode, wow.

Yeah, I expected it from Punisher, but damn Elektra is brutal too in this series. I never read these comics though, so I'm not sure if that's typical for her character or not.

I finally started Jessica Jones last night, starts of very depressingly, but I know to keep at it due to the discussion on here.

I don't think I ever read any comics with her either. I only knew her from the DD movie if I recall.

I mean yeah, it is a pretty depressing show. But it's worth it. Trust me.

I finished Stranger Things and The Get Down last week. Both were amazing and I'm really sad they are over. The Get Down is the best Netflix original I have seen yet.
