Was starving on the way home, so stopped to get something to eat. As I was leaving, I spotted a gym on the side of the road and tapped it out of curiosity. Was a Lvl 4 Gym. The first three Pokemon were pretty meh. But then I got to the leader and stopped. "Wait a minute....This guy looks familiar..."

Look who's haunting ground I stumbled upon. Tag, man. You're it

Someone found the world famous flagpole gym @ the GLC! That description is out of date, as it's no longer the Elks building. The plaque is no longer on the flagpole, either. What exactly were you doing in my neck of the woods? As for that gym, you must have visited Thursday night because I caught that Snorlax the night before (read up thread for more information). I had put it in a gym a little further south and before I got home I got it back, then I believe I trained at that one to sneak that in there about an hour before you saw it, I remember that it didn't stay up for long. As of right now, I took it back from Mystic this afternoon, and an Exeggutor is there. It never stays one team's for long, now that it's a church.

(still there as of this post)

I got a double bonus today after the Sunday Mystic gym crawl. I even went back to a gym I had earlier that I had lost and took it back again.

You could have fought there and I had no idea. You know I'm in VALOR territory!

I hit 19 today, also finally got enough bloody eggs finally to make an Eggecutor, and it came out being like my 2nd or 3rd most powerful pokemon. Also ended up with another vaporeon which while higher on CP (1404) was crap on stats...appraisal was mostly grumbly and the HP was visibly like 15% worse than my existing...same moves too. I think I might have erased it, can't remember.

What's the moveset on the Exeggutor? You really can't go wrong from what I see. The tap/fast attack will always be a Psychic type. Zen Headbutt is good on offense while I understand Confusion works better on defense. The long press attack is either Psychic, Seed Bomb (Grass) or Solarbeam, which is a Vaporeon wrecker! Plus I think it has one of the neatest effects in the game.

I also evolved a 3rd Vaporeon today, now I got one with Aqua Tail (best stats out of the 3, but lowest CP, using it for mainly training), Water Pulse (the one I got today, middle of the road) and Hydro Pump (worst stats, but honestly it's just lacking in the STA department, this is the one that lasted a full week in a gym)

It sure is, the best Magikarp come from the eggs. I kept one I hatched, with stats of 15 on ATK and 14 on DEF, around 150CP. It will be awesome to evolve!

Vaporeon has Water Gun and Water Pulse CP 1378 (HP 153)
Exeggutor has Zen Headbutt and Psychic CP 1144 (HP 101) -- oddly no grass attacks

Appraisal on the big weed that it's a strong pokemon I should be proud, HP is strongest feature, just as impressed with attack, it's got excellent stats how exciting - and again wiht my pokemon so tiny it was hardly noticed.

In comparison the vaporeon rated out with that it simply amazes me, it can accomplish anything, attack strongest feature, blown away by stats WOW, and tiny.

Went to a fandom convention over the weekend - wasnt planning on it, my wife forgot the laptop. Ended up hangout with a friend of mine that is level 29 who gave me the run down. Pretty much where I live sucks for Pokemon since it sucked for Ingress (not like that is news). But he gave me the ins and outs of gyms and this Friday when I am going to his office, he is giving me the tour of why everyone in Atlanta is so much higher level than where I am. Apparently from his desk at work he can hit 15 pokestops.

But I did pop a lucky egg and did my bulk evolving, now I am level 16. Evolved two eevees to get a Vape and a Flare - both just shy of cp 1000. My Wheezing got a couple more Koffings to eat putting it at cp 930. So I am now ready to fight/hold the handful of gyms near my house.

The hotel was a gym and a pokestop and I ended up I sniping the gym a couple times with a nice cp 670 Raticate with Bite/Hyperbeam. That Raticate actually held the gym for 10 minutes, despite all the cp 2000 guys around - Lapris, Eggsexcutors, Vaporeons, and two Kangskhans specifically. Kangs with earthquake are beast! The best part was I was in a small hallway, where everyone was playing waiting in line for something, I sniped the gym after Yellow was defeated. Then I got booted out and sniped it again before anyone else did. Blue took it and a few minutes later it was defeated so I took it again. That time someone in the hall cussed loudly then told his friends "that fastbilly guy is fast but hes got shit pokemon." I walked by and handed him a card to a friends convention and said "I might have shit pokemon, but this show is the shit." His buddies all started laughing at him and so I flyer bomb the line.

So the "big weed" is 66.7%-80.0% perfect, it has the highest stats on STA/ATK and they're both either 13-14. Moveset could be better, but it might turn out to attack well. Of course since they're both Psychic moves they'll do better as a Psychic type, but you can probably use it against the Vaporeons and the Snorlax in those nearby gyms.

The Vaporeon looks better, at 82.2-100% perfect (simply amazes me), ATK is at 15, unsure of the other 2, and Water Pulse is better as a defensive move because it's not that easy to dodge (animation is different than Hydro Pump for example), so it will be a very effective Vaporeon to leave in a gym.

Sniping gyms? I guess in a crowded location it's to be expected, but I'd agree with the people that would suggest an immunity timer after defeating a gym to get a Pokémon in quickly so you wouldn't lose all your hard work.

I found a new one today I never seen before, just it's unevolved form though -- Marowak!

Held a gym for maybe 90min, had a terrible blue squatter on it, rolled it using my vileplume. A very weak raticate and a more powerful vaporeon so I gave it a grassy beat down, then popped my vaporeon on it before I left. It was kind of depressing, saw the shadow of slowbro, shellder, and magikarp and they never appeared. Had never seen the first two before.

Marowak is 868 CP (nearly full arc) It's a strong pokemon (be proud), atk strongest feature, impressed with defense, it's got excellent stats--amazing! HP on it is 74 and it has Mud Slap and Dig. Found a couple weaker jigglypuffs I cashed out for candy, and enough pidgey to raise in all around 4000xp today so far.

Hatched a 1600+ CP Lapras from a 10k egg. I'm rather happy about that. He seems to be pretty strong, from the appraisal. He'll make a good gym squatter. Also have a 550 Evee with good IV waiting to be evolved. Hoping for a strong electric.

A good move set for Lapras in a gym is -- well, just about anything! I fought one that had Dragon Pulse last week, but Blizzard really is best followed by Ice Beam.

If you get a Jolteon with Thunder, be proud! Mine has performed admirably in attacking, despite the Electric-type attack nerfs all those types have.
