Mario Paint I have played in the past, but not recently as I lacked the mouse!

The recent purchase of Hiouden is what pushed me into getting one. It'll also be nice for Eye of the Beholder, Dragon Knight 4, King Arthur's World, Lord Monarch, and others...
T2: The Arcade Game.

Seriously.

It supports the controller, Super Scope, and mouse. The mouse is the best for this game.

I'd recommend just playing, and if you get stuck try experimenting with your jobs. For a casual playthrough you're given so many straightforward tools that you should be fine.

The only part I seem to get stuck on FFV the few times I've run through it, is somewhere near the beginning when you can fight Shiva really early on but she can be insanely hard if you're not prepared. It's like the first time the game throws a few branching paths at you and gets a little confusing.

Yeah, Shiva is hard before you hit Karnak but after Karnak she's super easy.

I love the SNES mouse.

Since you're into importing Japanese games, I thought I'd mention some Super Famicom ones that support the SNES mouse. I'll post them as box art, since you enjoy box art as much as I do:

But the best one of all, and the game I consider the SNES mouse killer app is not Mario Paint. Nope, it's:

You're in for a good time.

I have Wonder Project J, Lord Monarch, and Dragon Knight 4.

I doubt that I'll ever get around to playing Super Famicom Lord Monarch, now that I think of it. The Mega Drive port (which I don't yet have) is superior, and the PC version is in English...

Some of those other games look interesting. Odd how Brandish 2 Expert has mouse support - the regular version does not.

Hopefully Hiouden will arrive from Japan soon. Boss game, if you haven't played it.

What about Mario & Wario?

I own the SFC cart, but I haven't been able to play it because...

Mario Paint killed my SNES mouse. My brother and I played so much Mario Paint back in the day, between the fly swatter mini game and everything else the mouse is worn out. The microswitches have worn out, so the button clicks hardly ever register. I've thought about trying to find drop-in replacements for it since the rest of the mouse works fine. Either that, or I just get a new mouse off eBay.

Yeah these mice are pretty cheap. The Super Famicom ones are even cheaper - for the mouse itself - but the shipping bumps the price up.

Mario & Wario looks rad as hell.

Yeah, I picked up Mario & Wario as soon as I learned about it.

As for the mouse, another option I thought of was trying to find if anyone made a PS/2 to SNES mouse adapter. I found this...
