Since JT's been on a video game music roll the last week or so, I figured I'd jump on the bandwagon to ask you guys about what songs you find the most relaxing in video games. What tunes help you unwind?
Here are a few examples of what I'm thinking of:
Chrono Cross - Dreams of the Shore Near Another World
Xenogears - Bonds of Sea and Fire
Donkey Kong Country - Aquatic Ambiance
Illusion of Gaia - Itory, the Hidden Village
Final Fantasy 6 - Kids Run Through the City
Chrono Trigger - Peaceful Days
Wild Arms - Into the Wilderness
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind - Nerevar Rising
What others do you guys suggest checking out?

Last Window
Misty Time
Another Straight Chaser
End of the Journey
Down a Drink
Twilight Sad
Streets Have Memory
Insomnia

Trace Memory
Another Code
Researching Memories
Serenity

Another Code R
The Crystal Clock
Dappled Sunlight
Nostalgia Station
Blue Skies
Limits of Truth
Magic Mirror

I love Zi'Tah so much. It's too bad there wasn't much reason to go there other than to get to Sky or Boyahda. Speaking of Sky: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMFiQvW ... C&index=14

Dungeon Explorer - Track 4 (Dungeon 6)

Decent number of quests and missions went through there too. It just wasn't usually a party XP zone I guess. Prior to the various warp systems being added, it was certainly heavily travelled.pierrot wrote:I love Zi'Tah so much. One of the final areas added is a desaturated copy of the zone (Escha Zi'Tah, about the 19 minute mark here is first entry), and people spend plenty of time in that.

I used to farm there a lot, even though there were better places for quicker drops, mainly because I liked the zone, but usually when other places were overcrowded.
Most of what I might have come up with is covered in by these youtube compilations. Quite a few of these tracks I've had in playlists that I would listen to while sleeping, years ago. Also did not know that Rain just up and used "Clair de Lune" in its soundtrack.

(The next two display a sort of strange concept of the term 'iyashi' ['soothing'] but there are some relaxing pieces mixed in.)

Re: Relaxing video game music
I think the night version of Xenoblade's Gaur Plains might fit the bill.
Actually, a ton of the night themes might work. Xenoblade has a seriously amazing soundtrack.
