Remember, they can say crap about a game but in the end they have to give it a high score or they get their ass fired.

Everyone is just drinking the h8oraide. People expect too much from resident evil. I just hope to shoot some zombies.

Hey thats fine, I love it as much as the next guy (actually Deadrising is one of my favorite games so probably more) but, thats not what Resident Evil was built on. It is (was) a survival horror game, not that standard zombie shooting game that everybody has done and knows. Now that its departed from that standard it made for itself a lot of the enthusiasts of the first 3 (or 5 if you count CV, and the Outbreak Files) are mad. It was bound to happen with the choices they made. As it has been said, its a good game, but its not Resident Evil.

My thoughts exactly. I thought I was going to see something between a 7 & 8 at the end.
I knew I was in for fail right from the start when they said RE4 revolutionized the genre. I think what they meant to say was RE4 picked a new genre.

I know you guys have very strong opinions on RE (hell, i even chimed in), and i'm not trying to be a jerk or anything when i say this.... but i was hoping this thread would be less a critical analysis of the series and more of a "hey, does anyone want to play this with me? I'm picking it up tonight. Lets have a fun time."

heh. :D

if anyone wants to add me a play, i'll be online. If i'm not already in a game with someone, i'll gladly play.

I'm down for some co-op. My RE 360 came today and the game will be better with a human partner.

...Nothing happened to the old games. If you prefer their style, go back and play them. I at least give Capcom credit, for better or worse, to try an bring something else to the table besides shoot zombie, pick herb, combine herb, shoot giant fucking snake which has no place in a mansion, eat herb, lather, rinse, repeat.

For me, if it's got the Resident Evil brand it's all good.

Speaking of which, you hardcore fans of the series (myself included) saw what Capcom announced for the Wii today, right? Epic coolness.

Anyway, I'll be picking up the PS3 version this weekend if I can pull myself away from KZ2.
