So I know there's currently a ton of "how to make a lot of money really fast" tips online right now, but I found one that's so easy I had to give it a try. Park at any space station and talk to every ship that flies in. Look to buy Dynamic Resonators if they're 0% +/- or close to it. Buy as many as you come across. Eventually, you'll come across a pilot that will be looking to buy them for ~100% above average. When you find such a pilot, unload all of your Dynamic Resonators. Rinse, repeat.
What I like about this is, you can do it all in one room. So while it might be a little boring, it's also the easiest since you only have to walk from ship to ship. You can literally stay in one room. I gave it a try last night as was able to make over a half of million units in 5-10 minutes.
I don't care to Google some ridiculous exploit that earns millions in the shortest amount of time. Buying and selling Dynamic Resonators is modest, and that's kinda what I like about it. It seems more legit, like something that a real person might do in that universe, and less like some video game exploit.

Love the method. My method isnt an exploit, more like the equivalent of intergalactic grave robbing.

Re: No Man's Sky Stories and Tips
So I heard about this the other day, but haven't tried it out yet...
For your Exosuit, Ship and Multi Tool, you want like upgrades to be installed in slots so that they're touching each other. Doing so will net you a small bonus.
The annoying part is that you can't move tech after you build it in a slot. You have to dismantle it and then rebuild it in another slot, that's the only way to move them around as far as I know. So you really have to plan out what you're doing to avoid having to dismantle/rebuild too much.

I just had the game crash again, and again it was right around the 2 hour mark. If it happens a third time, I might roll back the update and see if it happens again or not. The game never crashed for me before the update, so who knows.
Re: No Man's Sky Stories and Tips
Are you warping a lot? Once I started working my way to the center of the universe I noticed it usually crashes once every 6-7 jumps which makes things a real pain in the ass.
Re: No Man's Sky Stories and Tips
I'm still on my third system (two warp jumps) and have been here for the past ~9 hours of play time.

Re: No Man's Sky Stories and Tips
Anyone know how or when specifically you get the blueprint for warp cells? A high school buddy of mine says everything he's found online says you get it in your second system, but he used the warp cell you get at the start of the game and then switched ships before jumping to his second system, thereby losing that first warp cell and now has no warp fuel. Says he's been searching for hours and can't find the blueprint anywhere in the first system. Is he fucked?

I don't want to alarm you (or your friend, rather), but isn't that one of the game-breaking glitch the gaming media was talking about?ElkinFencer10 wrote:Anyone know how or when specifically you get the blueprint for warp cells? I'm not entirely sure though. I mean, what warp cell you get at the start of the game? I'm pretty sure I didn't get a warp cell given to me... I had to craft one? The blueprint is found in the second system I think. You have to learn how to craft antimatter and then you can use the antimatter to craft warp cells.

With the pre-order bonus, I don't think you have a warp cell, but rather, you have enough warp fuel already applied to the warp engine to make one jump. Admittedly, I had little idea what was going on when I first started playing. But I made my first jump without having to find any warp cells or anything.
Whoa, I just checked GoG Galaxy and there's a new update. This time it's 1.4GB!

Re: No Man's Sky Stories and Tips
So like I said before, I've been on this one planet for many hours now. There's Exosuit upgrade stations (whatever they're called) everywhere. I'm up to 36 slots now! The only problem is, they cost something like $230,000 units a pop now (and they increase by 10k each time). Sometimes, I'll find several in a row and run out of money. Then I find more but don't have the cash, and I can't find my way back to them!
They seriously need to add a way point system to this game. There's kinda something that I found, but it's not 100%. If you use the visor zoom mode thing to look at a ? place you haven't discovered yet, it will set a • way point on it for you. If it's a ruin or transmission tower or something, it'll give you one of those bigger colored way points. Doing this, I've set several • way points that I was able to find my way back to.
The PROBLEM with this method, all those way points disappear when you exit the game. Hell, they even will disappear when you leave the planet! Last night when I was playing, I found a couple of Exosuit upgrade station but didn't have the cash. I marked them, along with a few other places I had way points to, and flew up to the near by space station to get some cash (Dynamic Resonator buying/selling). I returned, and all my way points were gone.
What they need to do is add the ability for us to set our own way points manually. I want to be able to mark a point, ANY point like a building or a shrub, be able to name it whatever I want, and have them STAY there until I delete them (even if I leave the planet or the game, they should remain until manually deleted).
And speaking of way points and the visor, I have some new complaints... The visor is great that you can scan with it, but they make for shitty binoculars. We're supposed to be exploring planets, but I've yet to find anything that'll let me zoom in as much as I wish I could. But it works OK for ? that are ~2 minute walking distance. I can usually zoom in enough to just make them out. I like to do this because the planet I'm on has ? every where and I don't want to stop at all the bullshit ones. The problem is that if it's too far in the distance (and perhaps some landscape/vegetation is partially obstructing the view) then the way point completely blocks being able to view what it is. That'll all you'll see if a ? blocking whatever structure might be there. I'm ~19 hours in now, I sorta know which buildings/structures I REALLY want and which ones I can skip.
To sum it up... We need to be able to set manual way points. But we also need to be able to toggle way points on and off. Some sort of telescope with a mega zoom would also be nice, unless the visor has better zoom upgrades that I just don't know about yet.
