At least you have an Electabuzz! I don't yet!

I just simply remember the time I put it in (the Flareon went in last Friday @ 3:30PM, the Vaporeon on Saturday @ 6:30PM). Last night Flareon returned to me during my check at 8:30PM. I checked on the Vaporeon gym during my supply run today; it's at Level 9 now, so I'm 3rd in the rotation. Any more minor attacks and I might lose that.

There has been new research testing incense in rural areas that it might be better used in a higher population center. I used an incense today and didn't get much myself.

More news later!

Incense pops every 5 minutes if you pay attention. At least that is my experience with it.

I was on a Pokemon walk/lunch break. My co-worker and I were virtually looking down at our phones the entire time.

Well since i have a very limited budget (and im a cheap bastard) anyone has any info on how well the game runs on a Samsung S4? I have one lying around on the house that needs to be repaired and i could go trough the trouble if it will run he game, at least, decently.

I have researched a bit and so far is 50-50 on the people some say its laggy and other that it runs like trash and a friend of my girlfriend says she can't even download the game, but maybe only needs a software update.

Seems multiple posts on gamefaqs forums say the S4 works just fine, but like any phone the game is a battery vampire.

Yeah i seen that already. Been playing some sesion with my gf for the last few weeks on her phone. It lasts about 2 from 100%... i think the phone last 3 hours with the game.

Pokémon Go uses the Unity engine, which is probably the biggest reason for the huge battery drain. As for phone model, any Android above Kit Kat 4.4.2 should be OK to run it.

Also about incense, it spawns 1 Pokemon every 5 minutes while you’re standing still, but Pokemon will spawn every 1 minute or 200 meters when you’re moving. So keep moving!

Now back to my story from today. It was resupply Thursday but with a twist, I wanted to check my 2 guys in the gyms. As I stated earlier, Vaporeon gym got a level knocked off it, leaving my Vaporeon 3rd in the rotation @ Level 9. A few more battles and I could risk getting it back soon. Tomorrow at 6:30 will be 6 days and a new record for longest stint!

But some better news, the Level 7 gym I threw my Exeggutor in yesterday leveled up much like the Vaporeon gym did this week!

Yes, that was also position #5, where my Vaporeon was at when the gym was Level 10. So I think he'll be in for a while too (yesterday at 3:45PM). Those gym bonuses are adding up, I'm now at 320 coins!

At the 4-stop church w/ the gym, my usual Thursday re-supply hangout, the gym was Level 5 and belonged to Mystic, but I saw a group of people attacking it, and I saw it slowly go down. I joined in the battle not knowing which team those people were on, we took down a 1900CP Snorlax that was the leader! But soon I found out they were fellow Valor-eans! I didn't put one of mine in the gym because 1)It'd be unfair, I didn't do a lot of work in helping take the gym down and 2)I knew that gym gets a lot of traffic and I wouldn't be getting a triple bonus tomorrow morning, Mystic always seems to hold it.

4 eggs hatched today too (the 2kms), got a Geodude, Rattata, Magikarp, and Squirtle. I still have 3 5km eggs and 2 10kms. I'm at around 50 potions again too (21 regular, 20 super, 21 hyper), but I still want to see how far my other 2 gyms go before fighting for now.

That may be what is supposed to happen, but nothing like that actually happened the other day, so there must be some additional variables in play.

Can someone explain to me how you can successfully train in your color gym and park a character there as well to gan more XP?

You don't actually train at gyms. You fight them to raise their level (if same color) or fight them to reduce their level and eventually take them over (if they are an opposing color). The gym can house a number of defenders equal to its level. To raise the level you have to attack it with one Pokemon. You get experience (minimal) and the gym gets prestige (like xp for gyms, also somewhat minimal). With enough prestige, the gym levels up and another defender spot opens, which you can park your Pokemon in. And if someone else is nearby they can snipe your hard-earned spot, like an asshole did to me today.
