Gunstar Green wrote:I'm pretty cheesed off right now because my game is bugged. I was trying to finish the Atlas Path and I got to the fifth stone then my map failed to update, telling me that my next Atlas Interface was the one I was already at.

OK, I thought, I'll go to Nada and he'll give me another one maybe. Found him in a few jumps and when I asked to continue the path of the Atlas all it did was make my current system my next waypoint which didn't have an Atlas Station in it at all.

Alright then... maybe if I go back to Nada and ask for a black hole it'll reset it and I can get an Atlas station the next time I see him after that. So I start following the yellow path to the center again and I just can't find the jerks after over a dozen jumps.

So is there any way to find Atlas Stations without the path, or an easy way to find black holes maybe? I'm just stuck right now and it's really irritating because I just want to go back to the pace I was playing at originally.

I reported the bug to Hello Games but they're swamped so I don't expect a reply. I may just give up and sell off the stones, though having the glitched path in my map forever would still bug the hell out of me.

Black holes are easy to find because they left markers on them in the galactic map(maybe by mistake :P). See the black marker to the right that is a black hole they appear pretty frequently and can be seen from 500+ light years away if you keep an eye out.

Also it seems like I run into Nada and Polo once every 3-5 jumps through a black hole.

Honestly the Atlas path is really disappointing and the center of the Universe is a complete and utter bitch to get to at the moment thanks to the shitty black holes being about the only feasible option. That is unless you want to farm like 1000+ warp cells since apparently the best I could do per jump was around 400-500 light years(hmm something fishy there) even though I could jump 1500+ light years with my upgrades because there is no clear way to tell the most direct path to the center. So your stuck using black holes which purposely pad the shit out of the experience by breaking a piece of your ship every time you use one. So eventually you end up crippling your warp drive upgrades and having to stop for repairs every 2-5 times you use them  .

As for the Atlas path it could be better if you spend like 100 hours hunting down and completing monoliths so you can make out half of what your being told, but with minimal word's learned in the Atlas language you just get a bland story where you are led around by the nose and even though there are only 10 atlas interface they didn't bother to design that many so you will see each one of them at least twice  .

Even the Space Anomaly gets boring sure they have a mini story going there and polo is somewhat interesting at least to me but there really is no point to them after you complete the Atlas path and after they give you the Atlas V1 pass. I've bumped into them 4 times since finishing Atlas and you know what I've received as a reward for finding it jack shit that's right my options for a reward are a navigation route to a black hole that I can already see and get to in a single jump or a piece of tech which I've already discovered *we need a face palm emoji*.

Really they need to expand objectives and collectibles. If there were ever a game that could actually use some fetch quests this is it. I feel like at this point I've found 95+% of the blueprints so all that's left is collecting words, building up pointless units(I have 46 inventory slots now I keep buying more since Units keep piling up :P), and wasting ridiculous sums of time getting to the center of the universe to experience what will probably once again be a disappointment. I am at the point where I am wholesale just skipping certain types of locations because I know exactly what I'll find there and I know I will be wasting my time and plutonium landing there since all I'll get out of it is naming the location which has a 0.0000000001% chance of ever being visited again :P.

Got my copy today! :D Also played a bunch but I'm still not sure what I should be doing next ha. So far I've been trying to warp to the Atlas marker, but I need more warp cells to do that. It's been a bit difficult since I've been trying to find this one material (I think it's Heridium?), but it's a real pain to find :| Don't think I've seen any of it yet.

One good thing that happened though, was I found this cave with a whole bunch of pearls. They did attract some sentential attention when I took them, but I just rushed over to the super close building and sold the pearls for a good chunk of money :D I did that again, and I was going to do it a third time, but then the game crashed. I'll probably go back again tomorrow haha.

Heridium can be found in massive quantities in these really large, tall, rectangular looking rocks. It could be easier to find them by just getting in your ship and flying across the planet at a really low level.

They look like this:

It's a real bummer that you can't mine terrestrial resources with your ship like you can with asteroids.

Two big tips for those playing. Want to move insanely fast on the ground? Sprint, then melee attack and then jet pack in quick succession. The momentum propels you forward very quickly, enough to avoid the dog sentinels and get free.

Also, if you locate a signal on a planet for trade outpost or any other building with a trade terminal, don't activate the Beacon. Doing that will make finding the place very tough as there are no waypoints. By not activating the Beacon, the outpost will still appear on your HUD so you can head back after mining or collecting any very rare objects that may be littered around a planet. Using the two described methods, I've been able to collect over 4 million units by doing this for about an hour.

Attacking cargo ships in space is a lot easier as long as you upgrade your back pack enough to haul a lot. I can make about 1mil every 10 minutes. There is no reputation loss and you can just ignore the sentinels that come to attack as long as you keep refilling your shields which is easy since you will be getting stacks of iron and titanium from cargo pods pretty regularly. Quite a few cargo ships spawn right by space ports as well so it's easy to cash out your resources and get right back to pirating again.

Oh that is a valid method, but 4 mil an hour or 4 mil in 40 minutes, not too big of a difference. The beauty of the game is that there a bevy of ways to do things and they all work.

Thanks, Reprise! I quickly fond some once I knew what to look for haha.

Got a bunch of those pearls again today, which got me up to 2 million units. Don't know how much I had before or how long it took me, but I know it didn't take me very long. Some of the sentinels kept getting stuck above the caves, which made it really easy haha.

Also went around looking for ships to repair. It took me a long while to get something alright. I was debating about just buying a ship, but I haven't seen too many good ones.

And I really got to make sure to not play too much of this! It's definitely something I can see myself playing too much, too frequently and getting burnt out on it. Like I just want to go to "just one more ruin" or "just one more transmission tower" but keep on playing for a while.
