How to make a COOL gaming room for CHEAP

Post by psychosync »

Hi!

Yes that is the subject of my new video. Like pretty much everyone here, i spend a lot of time in my gaming room. For a couple of years now i have been trying stuff to make the room look cool but i don't want it to cost me too much.

So in this video, i'll share some of my ideas, some may be good some other may be bad but don't worry, i do not take my self too seriously you'll see!

Happy watching and if you like it please like/share/subscribe!

I tried man. It's...really bad.

I'm not sure what you are doing - I don't think you're sure what you are doing.

You are doing the soft-core porn music, licking the cards, shoving them in your underwear...then trying to be informative...then back to weird music, then out-of-place video effects.

The shelves you are building are NOT the longest or the deepest available. They may fit your space - but you can get considerably longer boards

I don't see pilot holes in the wood you're drilling which is why you have spurs near the screws.

You are drilling into a door and other areas - what if you want to repurpose the wall or door?

You're changing voices - using really odd voices at times you're being informative and when trying to be funny. It doesn't work.

It isn't a clean flow. It's just a mess man.

You have the equipment to make good videos and you have a lot of stuff, but this video is a mess. Thanks for sharing it, though.

Ok...

That's a real harsh answer.

I will not reply with immature words or anything of the sort, i can take critique.

I thought it was entertaining, again it is not meant to be a serious video, i am just sharing some easy to do ideas to make shelves and display stuff so that the room looks cool.

Now about me trying to be funny, english is not my native language i'm sure you must have guessed... But i'm trying my best.

I respect your opinion and understand why you did not like it but i think my video is good, not awesome not great, it is good and i am sure others will like it.

Thanks for reply!

I have to agree with mjmjr25 a bit.

After watching 30 seconds of intros it jumps to you licking a cartridge and I would normally just turn a video like that off at the point but wanted to see what mjmjr25 was talking about.

I would put my opinion in a short sentence. Talk to the camera like you would talk to your friends. Don't pull voices, don't try to be funny, etc. Your personality will shine through and if you are funny, that will get through as well, however for me once you starting talking about construction, I turned it off as the voice was just too much. I know you were trying to share ideas, but honestly, the way it was presented made pretty bad and just all over the place.

Talk to the camera in your normal voice / tone, be yourself, don't try to be funny.

Keep it up, when you watch early videos from a lot of people they start rough until they find themselves.

RGB Gaming with a Projector

Post by psychosync »

Hi

New video i did a while back about playing old videogames on an SD projector.

RGB Scart being the best video signal our old consoles can output, well most of them, sometimes requiring some modding. Finding a monitor that can handle 15Khz sync signals (RGB) in North America can be a bid challenge and can be expensive.

BUT...

A lot of SD projectors will accept this signal!

The video is just about that, XRGB, S-Video, Composite... All compared with the SNES 1-Chip.

Hello

Here is the Latest video in the "Tony's Forest Of Videogames" series (Was TFOS before for Snes...). In this episode i cover from the start of the Stamper brothers' career to the end of Ultimate Play The Game.

I wanted to make a documentary this time with a lots of information about the Stamper brothers which eventually founded RARE. You won't hear much about Wizards & Warriors in that first episode, i will cover the history of the 3 games in Part2 (will make a quick stop to talk about the GameBoy game also...).

Awesome vid, you could do a vid on getting the best image quality out of the ps2 and the original xbox.
ps2, set to rgb and use the component cable with a simple adapter to vga
xbox, load special vga-bios and use the component cable with a simple adapter to vga
Optimizing PS2 games 480p (progressive) and 240p gsm hdtv

Thanks for watching!

I know that outputing RGsB from the PS2 is supposedly better that component video, i only have a component cable at the moment though and that is the easiest way to get 480p from the PS2 for sure! Even though it's output is a little grainy...

I will eventually test the RGsB which has sync-on-green instead of composite sync, i know my projector will accept sync-on-green so maybe it is going to be another advantage for using an SD projector. That was pretty much the point of the video anyway, get a nice picture quality for cheap, even though nothing beats the Framemeister... But for 480i/480p content i find the Framemeister not so great.

Anyway, i'll take a look at your suggestion, thanks!
