How do you feel about men wearing cargo shorts?

Nah. Grown men in flop-flops look like tourists, but a good pair of leather closed-toed sandals look fine in the summer. I wear a pair more or less similar to these when I'm not at work.

That was my go-to back when I wore jeans. But I haven't worn jeans since I got cargo pants.

But my fashion sense is a massive closet full of video game related t-shirts (mostly in black) and then cargo pants. I own some button up shirts that my mom got me when I graduated that I use when I'm going to an occasion that requires something nicer than a graphic T. She wisely realized I'd never buy shirts like that on my own.

I guess I perpetually look like a tourist during the summer.

Cargo shorts have to go down just below your knee! It's so when you sit down, they're only pulled slightly above your knee. If your shorts only go down to just above your knee, then when you sit down they turn into short shorts! Guys should not be wearing shorts this short. Hairy guy legs are not something I like seeing.

How about this classic old man attire... Short shorts with socks pulled all the way up.

I guess some of you would hate my summer style. I'm no fashionista. If I don't have anything professional to do, my standard summer atire is cargo shorts that go down just past the knee, flip flops or Tevas, and a rock concert T-shirt. I know some people here don't like my hair either, which is shaved round the side and the back, but really long on top and pulled back into a pony tail, with a curly stretch left loose down the front. Feel free to judge. I ain't gonna change.

Didn't realize that cargo shorts were "uncool" until I saw an article on Buzzfeed a few months back. Ya know, the same website that gives us daily reminders about how much "queen" Beyoncé "slays" and whatnot. Quality stuff.

Y'all can pry my cargo shorts from my cold dead...... thighs? Tell me - where else am I supposed to store my keys, phone, wallet, baby bottles, Game Boys, Game Gears, buttplugs, granola bars, CDs, DVDs, HD-DVDs, guitar picks, and so on....

I see now that the WSJ and Business Insider have a problem with the cargs as well. I refuse to follow the rules set forth by our bourgeoisie oppressors.

Now that I'm a father I have thought of adding some jorts to the mix. And white New Balance shoes.

I agree with this statement 100%.

I don't know why, but when I see guys wearing shorts that are high above the knee, it just makes me uncomfortable. I definitely don't see guys wearing shorts such as that and think "that fellow sure is mature and is definitely an adult". I think "that guy thinks he has sexy legs and wants to show them off". And hey, if a dude has sexy legs and wants to show them off, that's his prerogative, fair enough. But I see just as many (if not more) boys wearing short shorts as I do men, so equating that type of short to a maturity stance is kind of strange IMO.

Now when I say my cargo shorts go below my knee, I don't mean halfway down my calves. I mean just below the knee. As in, when I sit down, my knees do become exposed. I'm not wearing manpris over here.

And there's nothing wrong with sandals or flip-flops.

Crocs can burn in hell though.

I equate above the knee when standing shorts on guys to being old. As in, it's a thing you do when you get old and start tucking your t-shirts into your pants.
