I picked up at copy of Sonic Generations at a thrift store for $3. It looks so good but it's Sonic post-Dreamcast so I'm naturally worried. Can't wait to try it though.
At the same place I bought a collector's edition of Age of Empires III in a huge, heavy box. $8. It actually has all the extras! One problem though: the person who donated it kept the game. Still, I like art books that aren't cheap throw-ins and it comes with a nice full-sized hardback one.

Re: Games Acquired 2016
Ran around Hillbilly flea market in Ashland, KY today quite a few people outside but not much game wise aside from some sports titles and shovelware games. Since I didn't want to leave empty handed I decided to go through the reseller stalls inside and found a few deals. Two of them were pretty meh with either high or no prices and one was pretty fair with a few solid deals. Anyways ended up leaving with this haul for $72 aside from EDF 4.1 which i snagged from game stop with my birthday coupon.

First reseller I hit was pretty disappointing prices were sky high and after digging around I only ended up getting Aquanaut's Holidy (PS1) for $10, SimEarth (SNES) for $5, and M.R.C(Multi-Racing Championship) (N64) for $2. The guy had probably 1,000+ games, but none of them were very clean and the ones that were listed were mostly right on eBay BIN prices
.
Second reseller was a little better all the games were pretty clean and in good shape plus he had a pretty organized layout. Prices while near market were fair plus he had two bargain bins with loose gameboy/PSP games that were 2 for $5 which I managed to find some solid deals in. Everything had clear price stickers and was pretty well organized by system which made browsing a heck of a lot easier. Ended up buying quite a bit from him nabbed Metal Slug Anthology (PSP), Astonishia Story (PSP), Jikandia: The Timeless Land (PSP), Dungeon Maker Hunting Ground (PSP), Quarth (GB), and Game & Watch Gallery (GB) for $2.50 each from the bargain bins. Other then that I picked up Rising Zan The Samurai Gunman (PS1) for $12, Iron Soldier 3 (PS1) for $5, Bogey Dead 6 (PS1) for $5, and a CIB copy of Doom for the 32X for $10. All in all pretty solid transaction and he cut $2 off the price since I bought so much.
Finally the last stall I hit had a nice variety of stuff that was presented pretty well but nothing was priced and to further the confusion he had left old price tags from previous sellers on 90% of the stuff
. Only ended up grabbing RC Helicopter (PS1) and Descent (PS1) for $10. Been meaning to pick up RC Helicopter again for a while had it ages ago but I think it ended up in a yard sale since I didn't have the patience for it when I was younger
.
August:
1. Mario Tennis Power Tour (GBA)- Secret Santa
2. Mario Tennis (GBC)- Secret Santa
3. Trapt (PS2)- Secret Santa
4. Earth Defense Force 4.1 The Shadow of New Despair (PS4)- $20.21
5. Game & Watch Gallery (GB)- $2.50
6. Quarth (GB)- $2.50
7. Dungeon Maker Hunting Ground (PSP)- $2.50
8. Jikandia: The Timeless Land (PSP)- $2.50
9. Astonishia Story (PSP)- $2.50
10. Metal Slug Anthology (PSP)- $2.50
11. Rising Zan The Samurai Gunman (PS1)- $12
12. Iron Soldier 3 (PS1)- $5
13. Bogey Dead 6 (PS1)- $5
14. Descent (PS1)- $5

I bought my copy from GameStop when they had another production run back in the day. The difference is that I ordered it from Bristol, England while I was abroad.whitewolfarctic wrote:Finally broke and bought Xenogears for $35. Also picked up Zone of the Enders: HD Remastered.

Re: Games Acquired 2016
Xenogears is probably my favorite RPG of all time, bloated cut scenes and all. I just love the dichotomy of hand to hand and mech fighting. Another one traded in........

Sticker price... back in 2001. $50.
Re: Games Acquired 2016
Don't usually bother with this as it seems more like a massive collect-a-torium, but I think it's worth noting a few months ago if that, Razoola gave the ok for a third party to put up new ok'd burns of Crossed Swords 2 on MVS. I couldn't get in on the run as I didn't have seniority where it popped up, but one of the buyers had remorse and saw my interest so I snapped it up on their cost alone. Given it sells for double + what I nabbed it for on ebay I'm very happy, it's a really pro job done taking a CD title and converting it to MVS and it has a big laundry list of bugfixes and repairs from the original too, a real professional job.
