Thanks! The area I hunt has a decent population of wealthy people so there are a good amount of drop offs that just don't seem to make any financial sense, but I'm not complaining. A lot of competition though, so there are weeks where it seems like all the stores are completely dead. Even with the dead weeks though, I'm loving the treasure hunt!
Now time to get a Wii U.....

Hot damn, a DOLLAR? Dude. At no point will a loose disc of that game with scuffed up disc art EVER be just a dollar. That's a steal.

So the Goodwills in my area all seem to have different pricing strategies. Some of them are absurd and charge 12$ each for old crappy sports games and more for regular games, and some charge around 3-5$ per game, sometimes a little less. Couple a 3$ game with a 50% blue tag discount, and you can find some serious steals. Some of the other thrift stores have similar sales. 1$ definitly isn't standard it was just a right place/right time type of thing.
In my experience out here, whether you can get deals at Goodwill is all about the owners of the store. Some think any video game no matter how crappy/common is made of gold and keep them all behind a glass case, and some just treat them as any old DVDs and keep them on the same shelf. I'm a big fan of the latter.

God, I hate it when people think something is worth more than it is.
"I've got right here a gen-ewe-ine copy of Sonic 2 for the Sega Game Gear, and I'll let it go for just $25."
"Dude, seriously, I could wipe my ass with that thing and not feel bad."

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
In central NC, all of the video games go to the Goodwill computer store...which is a both a blessing and a curse. It is a blessing in that everything is in one place. It is a curse in that, since the store prices everything just a little bit under market price, you never get any killer deals.
A few years ago, however, the store was in a much shadier part of town, and it priced all games $1 to $5 dollars. I basically built my collection there.

Wait, Goodwill sells videogames?
Why did I never think of this?

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
There was one Goodwill that I use to frequent because it was right down the road from a large thrift store I use to go to. The only video game thing I ever found in there was a busted up oXbox, no cables or nothing, priced at $50. I watch LGR Thrift and I'm just baffled how many video games he can find in his Goodwill stores.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
To be fair, I have better luck with the local thrift stores. Goodwill here is usually over priced, or they have nothing interesting. With goodwill I'm usually looking for mis priced items. Most of the time I leave empty handed as well.
