Yes, I just did the first mission, took me a couple of attempts but figured out the boss enough and cleared it. You can save after every mission, however. The card collecting is a nice feature, since after you finish you can always go back to find them.

Finished the original Metal Slug. Took me 25 continues so at the going rate of $ .50 a play through, we're talking $12.50 to see the end of the game, lol.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

And there goes Metal Slug 2.

Holy shit this game is way harder than Metal Slug! It took me 40 continues to finish it - that'd be $20 in the arcades! Difficulty aside, I think I prefer Metal Slug 2 over Metal Slug if only for the variety in playable characters and the amount of stuff you can interact with. The laser camel is my all time favorite vehicle.

My other car is a laser camel. I still have CIA goons harassing me about it from time to time.

The laser camel is basically the American Dream given form.

Finished Metal Slug X - which is basically just Metal Slug 2 with a fresh coat of paint. On some level, I think I was already aware of this but definitely had not remembered. Probably going to read the Wiki on this one as I am not sure what made the developers feel that Metal Slug X was necessary. It was not really any more enjoyable than Metal Slug 2 and the additional weapons felt out of place.

35 continues this time, though! So that's $17.50 cents!

Having picked up a MVS cabinet in early May it came with 1 and 2, but also 3, 4, X and 6 on the included 161in1 cart. I may just have to dig into this for once.

Maybe on the original arcade hardware? I did not see much of a difference in the PS4 version of the collection.

Also finished Metal Slug 3. It took me 60 continues to get through! That'd be $30 in the arcade. Wow!

Correct . It changed a few other things, but it was mainly released to fix the huge slowdown issues.
