ethernet cord works? i always used a cross over cable and use some ftp client, mainly cause the tutorials told me to lol.ElkinFencer10 wrote:Woohoo, I figured it out! I feel like an idiot for not thinking to do this earlier - I just used and Ethernet cord to connect my Xbox and my laptop. I was so hung up on a flash drive or blank DVD that I didn't even think to try that until tonight.

Yeah, all the tutorials I read said to use a crossover cable, but since I didn't have one, I figured I'd try an Ethernet cord just to see if I got lucky. It worked perfectly. Now I question if you just don't need a crossover cable or if they're like the difference between dogs and grey wolves (you think they're different species, but they're actually not).
