Then there's the actual mac users who use it for a professional reason since it's a far superior platform. Vista is a joke for Pro audio. Driver incompatibility, stupidly bad latency, a lot of old hardware (yet still perfectly usable as far as Pro Audio is concerned, In fact some of the old rugged stuff is far superior to the new stuff.) just isn't supported. There's a reason the music department at the college I work at refused the upgrade to Vista when it was rolled out campus-wide. We still have have 2 workshops with XP and Pro Tools simply because the old Mbox's and Pro Tools LE 6.4 runs like shit on Vista.

Anyways this is not a win-vs-mac-vs-lin argument.

To answer the original question which I should have done ages ago.

Forget what I said about facepalming the word Mac. We should just outright ban it. Every time someone says mac, it derails the thread and turns into a fanboy war. :?

Hey Niode. When I drag my .Mov file into the DPG converter it says "bash: mencoder command not found". I downloaded the mencoder and mplayer. Do I need to place them somewhere specific?

Try converting an .avi file first.
