I keep getting an error when I try to download the system update. Something about:

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

and
<Error>
<Code>AccessDenied</Code>
</Error>

Anyone else getting this or what I should do?

HUGE longshot, but does anyone have a working patch for Deep Dungeon III?

The .ips one available on romhacking crashes the game. I had a similar problem with Der Langrisser when I first got the console but that issue was remedied (with a new modified patch??) a couple of years back.

There's also a .bps Deep Dungeon III patch but the Retron 5 does not support that format. I've heard that a .bps file can be converted to .ips. Can anyone confirm? Probably won't solve my issue but it's worth a shot.

While we're asking for longshot translation patches, anyone have one for Divine Sealing?

Yes it's possible to convert from bps to ips...in a roundabout way but it works. Use a program like beats to write the bps patch to the rom it's meant for, then use lunar ips to create an ips patch between the original rom and the patched rom. I've done that for you for Deep Dungeon III.

http://www.mediafire.com/download/sl033 ... o+Tabi.ips

Or you can find it in my mediafire database for all of my patches in the nes section (linked in the topic creator's first post). The original IPS patch you tried probably didn't work by the way because the instructions state on romhacking.net to expand the rom on your PC first, which isn't exactly reasonable nor possible on the Retron 5 so this converted BPS to IPS patch should get around that issue. If there wasn't a bps patch available to use it still would have been possible to fix up a proper ips for the Retron 5 based on the one you already tried prior so if you'd like to know how let me know and i'll get into that as well.

I don't guess 32x games work via patch, either?

They do not. There is no software core for it. I'm still holding onto my R5 for now but I'm ditching my supaboy. :)
