Was there a PS2 fight pad?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I have a pretty good Pelican Real Arcade controller. Seems to work great, one button got stuck on mine, but I'm sure there's a way to fix that. I'm sure there are much better ones though, I got mine a really long time ago and it's the only arcade stick I have besides the NES Advantage.

It's pretty big and heavy so it won't slide around and stuff. Image

That's what you were talking about right? Or is there an official brand or something for fight stick?

Like that? Cheaper than the new SF4 fightpads, and I think they feel much higher quality too.

I have one of those that miked linked to. I don't know how they compare to the SFIV ones, but i don't care for it. The dpad and buttons need to be pressed in pretty far before they register, and the placement is too low on the controller for me. Although it is still better than the dualshock for fighters and having 6 face buttons is very nice.

I own the one linked above me. The NubyTech Street Fighter 15th Anniversary PS2 controller!

Short version: it's good.
Longer, more in-depth version can be found at my blog: http://anosou.blogspot.com/2009/03/how- ... art-4.html

If you find it cheap, like pads and play a lot of fighting games you should go for it.

There are several ps2 arcade sticks. I don't think there were any first party or officially marketed sticks. I could be wrong.

You could always order an expensive custom or get a hori stick.

3rd party doesn't bother me. As long as it's not flimsy. I dnt want to pay tons for some tank of a controller though. I really wouldn't use it enough to merit paying 80 bucks or whatever.

Then that's a "stick" a pad is always a pad :)
If you're not willing to spend that much money it can be hard finding quality. I believe the HORI Fihgting Stick 2 is quite good but it's not that cheap. If you're willing to spend money check out arcadeinabox.com , last I heard they're also working on a hybrid PS3/360/PS2/PS1 stick so that might be a good investment.

I've never been one to get a Hori (mainly cuz I already have an X-Arcade), but I want this one.

I mean, c'mon. Street Fighter arcade stick? BORING. Moe-rific arcade stick with girlie pastel colors all over it? That'll strike up conversation. Plus it'd be perfect for me to bring to the fighting game competitions at anime conventions.

Anyway, I do have the Ryu and Ken PS2 pads. Even though they aren't what you are looking for, I did find they were a damn nice value, considering I got them for $10 and $15 bucks. I still wish I could find the Saturn PS2 controller... ya know, at a decent price.
