can confirm was fun as hellElkinFencer10 wrote:I had a fantastic time tonight hanging out and gaming with TSTR and swiftzx. They came over, checked out my game room, and just hung out. Played some PT, some RE7 demo, some Devil's Third, some Legendary Axe and Blazing Lasers, some Sin and Punishment and Rogue Squadron, and some Samurai Shodown and Metal Slug. After swift left, TSTR and I fired up the Saturn and tried out UNO DX for the first time. Lemme tell you, UNO is a great game by itself, but adding anime girls to the mix just makes it a hundred times better.
Racketboy meet-ups are the best. You need to come up from Charlotte and join us some time, Jordan.

Will do! Right now, however, I'm in Maine (and I saw Bone yesterday!).ElkinFencer10 wrote:I had a fantastic time tonight hanging out and gaming with TSTR and swiftzx. I think I might just watch a no commentary run of Amnesia, found a good one. I rarely do this but like with Fear Effect earlier this year, there's a lot about the gameplay I don't enjoy at all (along with the visual distortion effects) and for whatever reason it seems more tolerable to watch.
I do plan to give Penumbra another shot though.

Every once in a while I think about buying a supergun.
Then I go look at pcbs and remember that they often make superguns look inexpensive in comparison, and the enthusiasm is kinda lost.

Trying to get through a "Perfect Crime" Heavy Rain run. You have to get everything just right though, or it won't count. Lovely stuff.
I'm wondering what to dive into next though. The only thing in my back log besides pushing for platinums on PS3 is XCOM, and everytime I try and get into it I lose interest about the 5th time I lose my whole squad. I love it, I just suck at it. Might pick up something new though, I'm itching for something Zelda like, and Okami is calling my name....

I tried to play Divine Dealing. The background on the first level legitimately gave me a splitting headache. I need to steel myself before I go for 16-bit space titties.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I got The Last Blade 2 working on my Wii but it doesn't look right. It looks unnatural, as if a picture of the game was being displayed on the screen instead of the game itself.
Probably the game is being displayed through some filters and I doubt it's 240p but 480i. I won't get a natural picture unless I emulate it, I guess.
A shame, it's a fantastic game despite its broken-ness.

I've had this overwhelming "I should be playing something different" feeling lately. Like, did I need to play three different versions of Castlevania back-to-back? Surely I could have put a dent in Castlevania II instead. Was playing yet another port of Ys the best idea when I have a pile of unfinished and untouched action-RPGs of yore? Perhaps I need to hone in and focus more now that my gaming time is so limited.
Surfing around GameFAQs last night I found an ancient cringeworthy thread about "hot" JRPG cosplayers. Ended up reading the thread backwards - last page to the first. When I finally scrolled to the first post I realized that the OP was...... me. Yikes!
