Those 2km eggs, are they bugged?

I've gone through 2 so far and neither has hatched a pokemon and I didn't see anything in my journal stating that or that I even got some piddly items. The first time the egg was up, but the game crashed, and then wasn't there on re-start. Today another was at 1.98km and I closed the thing, went out a bit, it never hit 2km as it never vibrated, came back and popped up the app again and it was gone and again no goodies.

What's the deal?

Damn thing cost me like 10 pokeballs (4 were bad throws) but I did get a ghastly which was nice to see.

Hatched my third 10 km egg and got a scyther! Yes! I am down to 3 pokeballs avain, since the heat has limited where I can go so pokestops are almost non existent from me at the moment. I am close to level 18.

The only bug(s) I've encountered with eggs were when the server crashes were ongoing. Last week I missed 4 eggs hatching because they went when the app froze, but they appeared in my Recent list.

My 2km I tried next popped as I had the game open so it was safe, a Spearow in the mid 200s CP, which is ok. I wasn't expecting a lot from a 2KM egg. My permanent one is housing a 5K that's part of the way there so far. I did find a Tangela today so that was new, and it did roll over to lv10 on mine now too.

2K eggs can house the starter trio, pikachu, clefairy and jigglypuff in addition to all the common rubbish, so I think they're a gamble worth taking.

2km eggs are great. Put your unlimited use incubators on them and get easy xp and lots of candy for the pokemon.

Well I haven't experience with the 2K eggs, I've tried 3 so far, got a spearow and the first two before that the game erased due to it glitching. I could hope to see a pikachu and jigglypuff that would be nice, also a squirtle which I lack (though I have a wartortile.

Been a pretty good couple of days.

Yesterday, I missed a call on my cell at work. Since the reception inside makes cell calls an exercise in frustration, I went outside to return the call* . They said they'd call me back in a minute :? (of course), so I meandered about outside in the shade. Curious, I looked down at the app and saw my avatar had wandered several yards across the lawn without me  The gps kicked back in and my little mini-me started zig-zagging back, so I started to set the phone back in my pocket when it buzzed.

"I'm so sick of these damn Pidge–... HOLY S*&#! WAS THAT A SNORLAX?!!"

*Image of Snorlax disappears as avatar draws closer to me*

"Gah!"

*dashes across lawn like a crazy person*

I caught the little (massive) bugger before they called me back, so happy day for me. I just hope no one saw me running across the yard

Today was pretty nice too. Caught another Bulbsaur and found a 765CP Scyther. Also got a couple new additions.

Charmander (2k egg hatch)
Pikachu

I've heard the electric types are more easily found in industrial areas. I guess the automotive section of Walmart is close enough :P

*I also wanted an excuse to get up and stretch. Not gonna lie.

So I am probally going to get heat on this but frankly I've taken worse. So I go and take my kids and I to Hampton beach for a family trip. It is only one night and I have told the family to have no cell phones or any social media. I wanted family time. That did not happen
All day all f();:ing day this whole day was all about Pokemon go. Kids didn't even care about anything else but god damn Pokemon. By the way Hampton beach is a hot spot for rare Pokemon.
Now I play from time to time but this has pissed me off to the point I'm done with it. My kids ignored everything and just go to pokestops and my wife and I were pissed. All we wanted was family time. Next year no kids.
Also you gotta see when people are all over the beach chasing a Pokemon and groups of people are all on their phones instead of family time at the beach
