I haven't really had the interest to join the current generation (PS4, XBONE) because my backlog is sooooo huge! I'm guessing around 300+ games I still want to play all the way back 30+ years.

I'm 29, collector of consoles and currently have over 1200 games for the N64, PS1, PS2, PS3, Gamecube, WII, Original XBOX, and the XBOX 360. Over half are CIB and the disc without cases I store inside a DVD binder. Now I'm looking to start collecting for the NES & Sega Master System. I also collect VHS and horror films

Welcome! I see on your location that you live in North Carolina; if you don't mind my asking where in the state? prfsnl_gmr is in Charlotte, I'm in Henderson, TSTR is in Durham, and swiftzx is in Youngsville. TSTR, swift, and I actually all hung out and gamed at my place last night. You should definitely join us sometime if you're within driving distance of central NC.ADingoAteMyBaby wrote:I'm 29, collector of consoles and currently have over 1200 games for the N64, PS1, PS2, PS3, Gamecube, WII, Original XBOX, and the XBOX 360. I live 3 hours away from Hendersonville in Murphy, NC. Used to date a girl from there when I lived in Asheville back in 2002-2003ElkinFencer10 wrote:Welcome! I didn't even know it was quoted on Seinfeld, I originally heard it in the movie Savannah Smiles (1982).strangenova wrote:Welcome to Racketboy. By the way I love the name, I just watched that episode of Seinfeld last night

Bruh, I said Henderson, not Hendersonville. I just Google Mapped it; turns out you're about 6 hours away. You're still welcome to join us if you ever feel like driving an insane distance, but I won't hold my breath.ADingoAteMyBaby wrote:I live 3 hours away from Hendersonville in Murphy, NC. Welcome Dingo.

Neither of you guys know the origin of this phrase? It's a bizarre story. Dig this: in 1980 Lindy Charberlain was camping in the Outback of Australia with her daughter, Azaria. In the middle of the night a pack of dingoes stole her daughter right out of the tent. She told the police what happened, but they didn't believe her. Lindy Chamberlain spent three years in prison for the murder of her daughter. five years later somebody found a scrap of Azaria's clothes outside of a dingo lair, and Lindy was released. There have been a series of inquests into Azaria's death. It wasn't until 2012 that the official cause of death was closed. Baby Azaria really was eaten by dingoes.strangenova wrote:I've never even seen that, I've only ever heard it on Seinfeld. It's also been referenced in a variety of American pop culture sources: The Simpsons, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Tropic Thunder, etc.
