Will eventually move opinions to RPG subforum. Enjoyed the first battle. I really like the art style & gameplay mechanics so far. Will be diving in further, reading up & playing, throughout week (for RPGs, I get a little OCD about understanding all the stats).
Win for the thread!
Solid.
Did I mention that
Lucienne's Quest is actually a Microcabin game as well? Sadly they don't have any other traditional JRPGs released in English.
Their flagship series is
Xak (action-RPGs), though none of those games were released in the States. That series is directly modeled off
Ys Book I & II (aka best game ever).
Just did some research on Micro Cabin. Interesting company. Funny I had been drawn to LQ, GW, & Mystaria without knowing it was the same dev.
Beat another map in Mystaria last night. Got my butt kicked trying to rush through the next map. Was happy to see "retreat" as an option

saved back on world map. Interesting title with skills/techniques. I won't lie, the fact that new techniques don't automatically hit your quick menu when there are available slots is a weird design choice. I know there is an inventory/skill management aspect to the game once you learn more but odd choice. I even had a character join my party with a technique he could perform but it wasnt "mapped" yet. My only gripe so far

. Digging into the experience system. Seems fairly deep but not overly complicated.
I really got dominated on that map lol. Hoping the levels I gained will help.
Thanks for the suggestion. If I really enjoy it, might buy a 3DO & GW.
