Lemme guess, these days you waste your time "having a life" and "spending time with friends and family".
Not everyone is as strong as you and I are, Popo; some people just can't resist the allure of bathing and human interaction.

Nah, nothing that constructive and life affirming. I prefer to waste my life trolling internet forums in pursuit of snide personal attacks.

Also boozing and sex. Don't forget those.

Sex? What's that? It sounds vaguely familiar, but I can't remember. Like a distant memory from long ago...

I have vague recollections, you know, before kids arrived.
I even remember good sex, you know, before getting married. But that's stretching back pretty far at this point...

Anyway, just popped in to say I finished off Persona 3 Portable a couple minutes ago and felt pretty damn good about it. Enjoyed the game, but felt let down about only maxing my social link with Mitsuru with a week left in the game.

Actually think I cared more about that achievement than beating the game proper... and then spent every possible opportunity to hang with her afterwards despite getting no bonus for it... which is... kind of weird.

So yeah, not enough sex. Is that what we were talking about?

I'm playing Persona 3 FES now - working on The Answer - and I was a total hoe. I had my social links with Yuko and Yukari maxed out, and had Fuuka, Aeigis, and Chihrio (sp?) all between 6 and 9 when I finished The Journey.

Still trucking through Tales of Symphonia. I'm about 2/3rds of the way through the game right now. Part of this might be putting it down for 6-ish months, but the game really relies a surprising amount (considering when it was made) on the player's memory and dedication to exploration to suss out where to go sometimes. Like, if you didn't return to a certain minor area to speak with certain NPC's to learn about something, or hadn't explored a certain area on the map to find the location you'll need to go to, you'll just suddenly have nowhere to go and be very confused. I'm willing to accept part of the blame because I took a long break, but I blame the game at least a little for not even trying to give you a hint in the right direction. I could see that happening in a SNES or even a PS1-era RPG, but a GameCube game? (let alone a modified re-rerelease). It's just a noticably odd design choice in that day and age.

Also, lack of any kind of free-run mechanic when all the battles take place in 3D arena spaces is REALLY annoying when you're fighting groups of powerful enemies. That's by far my biggest qualm with the actual gameplay of the game so far.

Don't wanna rant on too much here. I wanna leave some for the post-beaten review Xp

Have you ever played Wild ARMs 3? That game is the poster child for not helping you out in where to go. Seriously, when I came back to it, it took me an entire hour just to figure out where in the world I was at and where I was supposed to be going, and that was with a walkthrough!

No joke, Wild Arms 3 was the game that got me back into playing JRPGs after a nearly fifteen year hiatus. It certainly had its moments, though the desire to play it was strong enough that I managed to press on. Now here I am.

I like it a lot. It's probably the favorite RPG of a friend of mine. There's one spot in particular that's really tricky to try to come back to and figure out where in the world you're supposed to go next.

I was disappointed by the sequel, but Wild ARMs 5 totally made up for it.
