And Elkin sadly discovers the one downside to the app's functional servers.
It's worth the trade off, but sti a bummer

I understand your pain. I've still got 8 unhatched eggs in my inventory and would happily trade functionality for another infinite incubator

I caught a couple things I hadn't seen before today, and one got away too yet again (squirtle the only of the old starters I lack.) I do recall one of them was the Poliwhirl which was nice. I also propped up probably not the best candidate but unlocked the evolution on pidgeot at least. All that cracked me up into lv8. And yes, no server crap outs either, shocking. Either some people got bored of it already or they ironed out many problems. Still wish the game wasn't such a battery whore. That one little drive I did out for a couple hours took off 3/4 of it.

I spent an hour yesterday walking in circles in a mall in Raleigh looking for a damn Dragonair. After an hour, I gave up and concluded that the "Nearby" list was lying to me. I then realized that I was horribly lost and proceeded to spend the next half hour searching desperately for my car in heat that, once you factor in heat index, pushed 100 degrees. X_x

The Nearby list is currently bugged. All Pokémon will be "3 feet" away. However it seems those near the top of the list are still closer as of right now.

I couldn't do much today because of rain, just ran around a few local gyms staying in the car, and held 2 of them together for an hour, lost one and got another hour on the 2nd, and I just got back from another one and trained to get it to L3 and now it has 2 Pokémon there, with mine being the highest.

After that, missed a Machamp on the tracker (UGH!), but ended up with a brand new Diglett instead.

I've heard of some web based poke trackers, haven't found on that didn't choke.

Yeah, I know the feet are bugged, but the Nearby order has (at least half the time, anyway) seemed to be pretty accurate for me. I was following it on the list order, not the feet.

Yeah. I've been ignoring the feet, keeping the nearby tab open and just trying to keep the desired Pokemon in the top left corner. But even then it doesn't always work.

I had to go to the store today. On the way home, I noticed a Charmander on the screen. Tracked him down to the nearby parking lot. Went up a row and he was two spaces away. Went down the next row and he was in the top left corner. Went up the next row and now he's three spaces away :? I went up and down and back and forth a couple times and still couldn't nail down his location. I really wanted that Charmander, too :( Better luck next time, I guess.

On the plus side, the store was crawling with Pokemon, as usual, and I picked up two new ones :)

Nidoran (male)
Growlithe :o (One of my favs)

So the day wasn't a total bummer-fest. I do really need to head downtown this weekend, though. I'm running low on Pokeballs and need to stock up.

This one seems to be the best.

Pokevision

It uses Niantic's own API, so what you see on the map is what you'll see on the app. In real time.

It's so popular it seems to crash from time to time, but it's otherwise spot on. I found some good stuff because of it.

Milestone reached!

I guess this means I'm going into semi-retirement! I won't have to save up as much for evolutions anymore, I can stock up on all types of balls and items and battle away! Of course I'll still be looking for more Pokémon to fill up my roster.

I did get a Tentacruel today from an evolution. Lots of Valor gyms in the areas I passed today, so I trained at one to bring it to Level 6. Flareon is there now.
