I wish they'd fix the pokemon tracking. I just searched every bit of a square mile short of trespassing in people's yards looking for a Dratini before it just blinked out of existence.

So you get a 3shot incubator every 5 levels. After level 10 things ramp up a bit. I am 18 right now and am catching 400-1500 cp things, the higher being really rare evolutions. As for eggs, I just take a walk through the downtown area of where I live and collect pokestops. I always have a full egg bag.

I'm level 14 and I find things up to 500 or so if I'm lucky and find an evolved pokemon. Not even close to finding anythign at 1000 yet - I can't even train my pokémon that high (my best is a Kingler with CP 780)

My 3 use incubator is bugged; its remaining uses never decreases. I essentially have two infinite use incubators, at least for the time being. It's great. :D

Yeah I think things jump up at 15.

Interesting. I got bored and flipped it open on the way home, common crap, but as soon as I hit my driveway on it relatively speaking (I keep camera off) a DoTrio shows up and I was shocked and it had ??? for cp. It ended up being 308, it's my highest and below that are raticate at 224 and my egg rhyhorn at 175, have 7 others over in the 170-122 range including a Doduo that popped up too. Now it's cooled off back to the overkill birds and rats again.

Awesome day today. No server issues, so I was just able to get out and do amazing things!

First, many new Pokémon!

Caught: Tangela (at 892CP!)

Evolved (with double XP):
Ivysaur (CP 811, it will make a GREAT Venusaur!)
Parasect
and Golduck (with Hydro Pump, the best water attack in the game!)

Hatched: Seel!

I also got to level 19 with a 12k evolution session. I'm nearly halfway to 20!

Later on I went on a circuit through my local area and hit roughly 30 Pokéstops! That really increased my ball and potion counts.

It's a beautiful thing with an area like this, and the gym being well red-resented.

Finally, I went to the park to do battle. My Pokémon are super fighters for Valor, and I was able to single-handedly turn both gyms over for my team (for roughly 5 minutes).

More adventures tomorrow!

I know, right? The servers didn't crap out on me once. I was both delighted and shocked

Didn't catch anything new today, but I was at work, so... yeah.

Since the servers were functioning all day, I kept my phone plugged in and the app open next to me at work to see how often the nearby tracker cycled through Pokemon. Now, I don't have exact times, since I was really only able to pay close attention during lunch, but I noticed the Pokemon in the Nearby tab shifting at least once every 3-12 minutes.

Keep in mind that I was in a stationary location for most of the day. So when I say they're shifting, I mean that Pokemon are appearing and disappearing throughout the day. For instance, a Bulbasaur would pop up on the bottom right of the Nearby tracker, indicating that it was the furthest away (assuming the tracker is working :P ) As I kept the tracker open, the Bulbasaur would shift to a closer and closer location every few minutes, until it was located at the top left of the tracker. Meaning he should have, theoretically, been very close by.

I noticed the same thing happen with other desirable Pokemon as well. Not being able to track them down due to work, I noticed one of two things would happen so said 'mons. They would either quickly descend back down the tracker (much faster than they ascended), or they would simply blink out of existence all together. So my theory is, that the more desirable Pokemon are random, possibly have a fixed time span in an area, and will move around said area.

So I guess what I'm trying to say is, if you're having trouble finding something other than the usual suspects, try keeping the app open for a while (obviously with a battery or charger handy) and see if that solves the bird, rat and bug infestations. Okay, Tanooki

And Elkin sadly discovers the one downside to the app's functional servers.
