I feel like they FINALLY nailed Spider-Man on screen this time with Tom Holland. I never liked Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield at all. Kirsten Dunst or Emma Stone, on the other hand, could make me watch any movie.Sarge wrote:I think the one in the Cap movie is going to be excellent.
So what have you guys been watching lately?

I thought Tobey Maguire got closer than Garfield, personally, but then, I just thought the reboots were "eh". I still love Spider-Man 2. I also thought the original one was one of the funniest movies ever, but that's because everyone was at the midnight showing and we were delirious by the end.

For me, Maguire made a better Peter Parker and Garfield made a better Spider-Man.Sarge wrote:I thought Tobey Maguire got closer than Garfield, personally, but then, I just thought the reboots were "eh". The first two of the Sam Raimi trilogy are great movies. They're love letters to Silver-Age Spider-Man. And like those old comics they don't ever take themselves too seriously.

I wonder if I can get a replica of that white painting Kingpin bought?

Unghh... the foggy actor still makes me cringe. And it's a combo of acting, dialogue, and story. The whole angelic law firm thing is eyerolling most of the time. We get it, they're the good guys.

That seemed to be less highlighted in Season 2. Which I just finished! Overall I don't think I liked it quite as much as S1, but I still really enjoyed it. I liked both of the storylines that they ran with and can't wait for Season 3!Jrecee wrote:Unghh... the foggy actor still makes me cringe. And it's a combo of acting, dialogue, and story. just finished ep9 of season 1. It ends w/ Foggy finding Matt all bloodied from his fight w/ Nobu (awesome scenes btw) and realizing that he's DD. So lots of character dynamics should change I'm guessing now that Foggy knows - and presumably Karen will find out as well.
