Re: Summer Games Challenge 2016
Played some more Fire Emblem the other night but died an awful lot on the map I'm on. Enemies have alarmingly high evasion on this map, so it's causing a lot of gambles due to inaccurate hit rates.
I might start up something else alongside Fire Emblem as I want to take it slow and a palette cleanser to play in between would be nice. I was thinking Mario Golf.

Re: Summer Games Challenge 2016
- Shining Force (Genesis) - I have finished 11/30 battles as my game erased and I had to start over.
- Phantasy Star Online (Dreamcast) - I have beaten the game!
- Thousand Arms (Playstation 1) - I have beaten the game!
- Metal Saga (Playstation 2) - I am at about 75% of the way through the game.
- Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - I have beaten the game.
- Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic - I have beaten the game.
Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic is off the list.
The last two are going to take a while. I'm hoping to beat both of them in August in the closing moments of this challenge!

Re: Summer Games Challenge 2016
Dang, guys! Is this one of our most productive summers yet? I only started last year, so I'm not really sure how it's been in more distant times. But I feel like a lot of you are already more than halfway to the goal!
As for me, I started playing Bases Loaded II today because I was in a baseball mood - but I forgot that it's not actually on my challenge list!
The question is: can I substitute Bases Loaded II in for Tecmo Bowl? Is BL2 enough of a classic to pull this off? I'm curious what you guys think.

Re: Summer Games Challenge 2016
Sounds fair to me. I mean, I already modified my list once after the fact. I think this was the first time I officially attempted the Summer Challenge. I didn't really know what I was doing. I'll be sticking with five games at a time for now on.Key-Glyph wrote:The question is: can I substitute Bases Loaded II in for Tecmo Bowl? Is BL2 enough of a classic to pull this off? You can substitute Baseball, Baseball Simulator 1.000, Baseball Stars, Home Run, RBI Baseball, or Super Baseball 2020...but I am not sure I will allow Bases Loaded II...Key-Glyph wrote:The question is: can I substitute Bases Loaded II in for Tecmo Bowl? Well, Might and Magic III is now done. My girlfriend has picked out my next game: Alone in the Dark!
About time I got around to playing this one...

If you're talking about this one:
You're in for a helluva time. That game used to scare the piss outta my brother when I played it.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.
Re: Summer Games Challenge 2016
Yeah, the first one. I've played a bit of New Nightmare but never finished it(my Dreamcast kept freezing up). And no way will I ever consider the mid-2000s Alone in the Dark to be a "classic."

Re: Summer Games Challenge 2016
If I recall correctly, the original Alone in the Dark is one of the two Together Retro games for October. I have a copy of the game installed on my iPad, and I plan on playing it then.Ack wrote:Yeah, the first one.
