Games Acquired 2016
Re: Games Acquired 2016
Kirby is now mine.
As usual, it will shove aside anything else I'm playing until I'm finished. Games in that series have that effect on me, much like Zelda, Dragon Quest, Paper Mario, or Castlevania. Not sure what I'd do if I have all of those drop at once...
Re: Games Acquired 2016
I have a boxed PC copy, but I was told it has that nasty StarForce DRM, so I'd much rather play it here. These were 3 GC games I was looking for locally for a long time. Ebay's prices aren't all that stellar for them.ninjainspandex wrote:I love XIII, such a great game. Got a lot of hype when it came out but everyone has seemed to forgotten about it, would love to see this game get an HD Remake, though the Cell Shading makes it hold up very well.

Re: Games Acquired 2016
1. Prince Of Persia: Warrior Within (XBOX)
2. Contra: Hard Corps (GEN)
3. Final Fight (SNES)
4. Bare Knuckle 3 (GEN)
5. Mega Man 5 (NES)
6. Mega Man 6 (NES)
So, when I found Mega Man 5, his brother was sitting right next to him. I walked around the store finding absolutely nothing else as I was debating with myself.
And I realized that I had to keep them together. So, yes, I picked them up both at the same time. I'm now ready to play Mega Man 6 and I'm SO excited to say that I have a complete Mega Man NES Collection.

Yep, feels good. At some point, I need to get a better-looking copy of Mega Man 2, though.
I picked up the $1 tier on last week's Humble Bundle for 1001 Spikes.

Is 1001 spikes any good? It looked too much like multiplayer Rick Dangerous for me to want to take a gamble on it.Sarge wrote:Yep, feels good. At some point, I need to get a better-looking copy of Mega Man 2, though.

All the recent talk of Virtual Boy stuff made me want to buy the two games I've been wanting for it forever so I can just have them and be done with VB collecting. Only bought Wario Land so far, but TeleroBoxer may well be in the near future.

Seems pretty good so far. It's one of those "haha, gotcha" trap platformers, though. The game does teach you, but the 1001 in the title comes from the number of lives you get to beat the game. Ominous, I tells ya. Ominous.
I never played Rick Dangerous, never knew it was playing off of that.

Rick Dangerous is an old Amiga platformer that was all about killing you with traps you couldn't possibly see coming. I only know about it because I've heard Youtubers like Ashens talk about it XpSarge wrote:Seems pretty good so far. It's one of those "haha, gotcha" trap platformers, though. Decided to pick up Victor Vran and Technobabylon on GOG. I also got Spelunky and the Gabriel Knight remake for free.
I'm still mulling over a few other games, but there's a week left. I'm crossing my fingers for an awesome bundle that I can't resist.

Gah, I'm weak right now in the sale. Kinda wanted a DRM-free version of Dreamfall Chapters anyway, so I just dropped cash on Shadowrun: Hong Kong and Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt I'll enjoy the latter.
