Hi all,
This is a bit of a peculiar post but here we go.
I was ordering some cheap knitting needles from an ebay seller in China and, because I had an old U.S. address set as primary, didn't realize that the seller only shipped to U.S. rather than worldwide and won the auction (in my defense, many of the other sellers of similar stuff do ship worldwide, but really it is my fault for not paying more attention).
I contacted the seller explaining what happened and asking if they would ship to Europe but haven't got a reply yet.
The seller may be gracious and let me off the hook, but it was my mistake.Given that my winning bid was under 2 USD total, it isn't that bad anyway even if I don't get them, but in that case I'd prefer to just ship it to one of you guys in the U.S. rather than let it go to waste. Anyone interested feel free to PM me, I'll edit the post or add another one when I get the first "volunteer".
Messed up by winning an ebay item that only ships to U.S.

Some couriers give the option to rent a PO box in the US on your behalf, so that any items received would be forwarded to your actual address.

That is good to know in general.Pulsar_t wrote:Some couriers give the option to rent a PO box in the US on your behalf, so that any items received would be forwarded to your actual address.
But in this case for something below 2 USD it isn't worth it. It is a bunch of knitting needles made of bamboo.

Not trying to barge in on your thread and taking it off topic TC but on a similar note has anybody had the message about not being allowed to bid on items from your country despite the seller offering shipping there?
I've had this with a few Japanese sellers recently and they seem as perplexed as I do about it. They actually suggested I officially bid from an American address and then message them the real address.
The message I've been getting is this:
"We are sorry but the item you selected may not be purchased due to Seller shipping restrictions, country specific import/export or other relevant restrictions."

Ok I have now sorted this and paid for the item.
