I haven't checked yet, but it's probably all the Steam stuff, no?

Yeah if it's not an exact overlap it's probably 95% or so. Same goes for the latest Flashback system.

I have that too. But the Steam stuff has leaderboards and all.

It looks absolutely terrible installed (soooo much electrical and duct tape and bent ribbon cable), but it's working like a charm. In fact, I'm hearing the audio from Mega Man X4's attract mode as we speak. :D

So here's one positive review of Rob Webb's Universal V3 modchip, at any rate. A little less simple than the old one I used, but even less to solder this time, and no trying to get the blue wire to that tiny pin on the mobo chip. (When I got that old one, there was no A-B trick.)
So my Saturn is kaput; it doesn't even try to spin disks anymore. I've tried various things like compressed air and whatnot and I'm ready to call it a loss. The thing is, I picked this up premodded from someone on this forum so I could play the translations of the other two Shining Force III chapters. Any resources you could toss my way to get myself going again with a new Saturn?

So it doesn't try to spin at all? That's what mine was doing, but it wasn't the system itself that died, it was the modchip. I'd start the system up, and it'd go to the CD player screen and say "Checking Disc Format" for a bit before just giving up.

Before just tossing it, I'd consider opening it up and seeing if legit games will work while the mod chip is bypassed. That's what I did to discover it was indeed the chip.

There's also the Pseudo Saturn route, where you use a reflashed Action Replay cart to run. I saw another one that has increased functionality called Pseudo Saturn Kai, I had evaluated going that route until I emailed Rob Webb at consolegoods.uk. You'll have to directly email him and ask about the modchips, and do a bank transfer since Paypal won't process modchip payments. I ended up using TransferWise for it, and it seemed to work swimmingly.

Another expensive option is the Rhea / Phoebe. Those depend on whether you have a 20- or 21-pin Saturn, and load directly from an SD card. It's the same guy that did GDEMU for the Dreamcast. Orders aren't open on those, though...

So to do that I should just remove the chip, reinsert the ribbon cable where the chip was, and start things up?

There's money to be had ya know. Atari loves repackaging all their stuff on every console known to man, but I know we're big fans of this old PC collection.

All are $19.99 or $15.99 w/ Prime Discount
Atari Flashback Classics: Volume 1 (PS4)
Atari Flashback Classics: Volume 2 (PS4)
Atari Flashback Classics: Volume 1 (XB1)
Atari Flashback Classics: Volume 2 (XB1)

On another note I didn't realize that Atari had made a remake of Haunted House for the Wii until I bumped into it yesterday at gamestop for $1.79 :).

I sent my father's amplifier for repair. The repair shop man was fairly positive about it being something minor so I hope it's cheap. Either way, I'm glad I'm finally getting good speakers for my setup because plugging and unplugging my screen's minijack can't be healthy.

Anyways, there's so much stuff I want to get I had to sit down and see in what order I want them. In broad strokes, what I want is:

- Sound system (Amplifier, Speakers)
- RGB Cables and SCART/BNC Switcher for my consoles
- Fix my old computer and get a graphics card so I can connect it to my CRT

The sound system is going to be the first thing, because it's the least extravagant of the three and also the most "necessary". After that...I'm not sure. On one hand, I really want the PC because lots of games I want to play aren't well-emulated on the Wii (Most notably, Gradius). On the other, that will probably take long to get rolling and getting RGB cables would be an instantaneous upgrade.
