My wife is just a scrounger like I am. April is a bad month for our wallets since it is garage sailing every weekend. Heck for our anniversary every year we try to hit up a major fleamarket somewhere in the southeast. She is super knowledgeable in fabrics and metallurgy so we approach items differently. Then again it lets her do things I cant comprehend, like reupholster chairs.

We are going to play with the plywood for the bottom half sides and back (to keep the cats out) with a Mesh for the top. Right now I can fill up about half of it (with mid towers on shelves), so the bottom can be generic storage. My servers will never be on full time so I do not have to worry about aftermarket cooling and high intensity noise canceling.

Ending the month with a bang. Got Shadow of Destiny from Glyde.com for $7.00. Yet another lesser known early ps2 game is now in my collection. I did pay full price on the vita games. $50 on senran kagura and $40 on sword city. But I used some gift card/store credit from gohastings to buy it. So old trade ins helped pay for it. Lastly I ordered some anime. I’m going to try and complete Nadia. I got a some volumes already, and I’m hopefully getting the rest in soon. let’s see what the gaming gods have in store for me in June.

If you are looking to watch Nadia, there's a recent Blu-Ray release that I got for a decent price. Haven't actually watched it so I can't confirm the quality, but I bought it just to support the series in some small way.

Make sure you skip all the island episodes aside from 30 and 31, though, as well as the Africa episodes. I watched I think the first couple of the island episodes and couldn't stand how out of character all the characters were, then I found out the story behind them being so bad, skipped all of them except for 30 and 31 (which are the only ones that Anno acknowledges as canon) and then right into the final episodes.

I think my skipping of those terrible episodes are why I consider the series a 9 out of 10 while many others consider it closer to a 7 out of 10.

Oops! I guess I forgot to put up some of my finds from last week!
Image05/25/15: This is the stuff I got today at the fleamarket. I got mostly anime today. It all came from one lady and she was selling them at a dollar a piece. A nice thing about these is that they were new and sealed! Along with the anime she sold me Everquest online adventures for PS2 and two PSN magazine demos also for a dollar each. So $9.00 all together with her. Then from another stall I found Buckaroo Banzai, I Robot blu-ray and an a Graphic novel. I got those for a dollar each too! I then found a copy of Starwars battlefront xbox for $5.00. And the last thing I found before leaving was that generic SNES controller for $2.00. Just another typical Wednesday!
Basically I got some nadia dvds last week for a dollar each. I got pretty much half the set there. The one that came in this morning is one of four that I ordered. The rest should be in tomorrow. With an online holiday promo I went and got four other volumes of Nadia for $12.76. Hopefully that will complete the series.

Although I would like to get it on blu-ray later. I still got this series for pretty cheap.

Thanks for thinking about me though.

No prob, you're pretty lucky to get those DVDs for so cheap, I ended up torrenting the series when I got around to watching it because the DVDs were so bloody expensive at the time and I wasn't going to spend that kinda money if it didn't support the creators. Their value might have gone down since the Blu-Ray release but that's still a great deal.

I also love Dirty Pair Flash, although that probably makes me a pariah just saying that.

An average fleamarket day has turned out quite interesting. More to that in a minute. But first….Finds! Went around 9:30-10:00 am and the Socal weather was already quite hot! But I scored stuffs like always. PS2 controller extension and Gameboy multitap both for $1.00. Wii Sports and a red wii Sleeve both for $3.00. Justice League dvd and Atari 7800 controller also both for $3.00. One 64 MB ps2 memory card new and sealed for $5.00. I need one this big to hack my other PS2. Hope it works. Pirates of the Carribbean Wii for $1.00. And again for $3.00 Stargate for Genesis and a Sony AV cable. So I’m saving the best thing for last. Do you see that copy of Tony Hawk 3? Its got an autograph on it! At first when i fished it out of a box full of random cds and dvds, I didn’t really pay attention to it. I tried to do a google search on my phone but The sun was blaring and I decided to buy it anyways. In that box, I also found a loose manual for Gex, so I crammed it into the PS2 case. And when I opened it, There was yet another autograph inside! I quickly took it to the old guy selling it, and he sold it to me for a dollar! Sweeet! And what’s even more sweet is now that I’m home, I’m doing some google searching and it looks to be signed by the Famous Skateboarder Steve Caballero! I’m quite happy with this little gem of a find! Lucky for me huh? Do you have any games with autographs? Whether people in the industry or celebrities in said games? Lets talk about it?!

I loved Steve Caballero when I was younger, great skater and was always a good influence on younger kids.

The Steve Caballero signature is nice to have he's a legend of skateboarding highly up there, he also has the half-cab & full cab tricks named after him. I found a copy of Left 4 Dead signed but didn't look into who it was Ill have to check had this particular copy for a while too.
