I'm interested in KOFXII for sure, the graphics looks great. But I'm a little worried about the lack of characters. Especially since it's 3v3, so almost one third of the characters in the game will be in every match.

Do you guys think it should've been changed to 2v2 because of the smaller roster?

I think the smaller roster might be an effort to improve game balance and make good economic use of expensive 2D art assets. Once they have these characters all up and running they can slowly tweak and introduce characters either as DLC or in the sequel.

You couldn't play them on-line.

Picked up KOF '98 UM yesterday. Really great package. Came with a content disc that includes wallpapers for your computer and a few trailers. Also came with a mini poster that will look cool in my cube at work. The game is great. SNK really put a lot of attention into balancing and updating the game.

It was hard to find, though. So pick it up if you see it.

KOF99 is my favorite, did play a lot of that PS1 version and the only thing that did suck was the loading.
