That's one Doomed space marine.
Hope we get a new Chex Quest next.

I so rarely end up playing anything current that this is a unique experience for me. I'm normally a couple years behind the curve.

A lot of us were ogling over it in the Now Playing FPS thread, but it doesn't hurt to have a new Doom thread to continue praising it.

Thanks. I know it does, have to look it up in the key map. I'll give it another throw tonight perhaps.MrPopo wrote:The chainsaw has a dedicated button to swap between it and your last used weapon. It's an instant kill on EVERYTHING. After the kill it will bring out your last used gun and the enemy explodes in a shower of ammo that should top you off. Trust me, you want to incorporate it into your fights.
I've got some of those I'm like lv3 on the first 2 and lv 2 on the ammo I believe. I don't think I've missed any as the map is pretty generous marking things to look out for. I have that rune you speak of, can enable 2 and I can't remember if I turned that one on.Gunstar Green wrote:Indeed. The chainsaw is an important part of the game's resource management system so if you're having issues running out of ammo, that's why. There's also a rune that makes enemies drop more ammo but I don't recall needing to use it over other options.
Though once I got some argent cell upgrades to my ammo storage it became less and less of an issue and most of the arenas are chock full of ammo.
Marurun I'm kind of that way too, I avoid much of the modern stuff except select things as they just don't keep me entertained more than once or twice over a few hours and that's a waste of money. My upcoming 3DS/PS4 watch list is laughable small and of that I bet I don't buy even 1/2 of it maybe a 1/3.
In a perfect world people would buy all that crap off my b/s/t list and I'd snap up a couple or more MVS carts with it and just play the crap out of that and my pinball machine instead.

yeah we've been gushing over it in the FPS thread, but it's worth having a dedicated thread as some of us had talked about making/sharing snapmaps.

There was a cool Doom car in the Indy 500 today.

But it got gibbed.

The driver is alright.

We seriously need to tackle some co-op maps. Noise, Ack, anyone?

That was driver Mikhail Aleshin (pronounced "lotion") from Russia. I commented elsewhere that he got BFG'd because there was no god mode @ Indy. It was a good race, a rookie driver took it this year.Gunstar Green wrote:There was a cool Doom car in the Indy 500 today.

Back to your regularly scheduled Doom thread.
