I agree with this. On another not I gather your name is throwing back the the Soul Reaver games? I just finished the second one a while ago. It was awesome.Raziel wrote:Intelligence doesn't have anything to do with it. Yes, games are easier these days, but I don't think in order to beat Castlevania 3 you need to be a rocket scientist next to the guy who plays Halo, if anything, it's the capability to put up with trial & error. I'm not against older games, I like them as well, but your assumptions are crazy.fast wrote: I guess the point I am getting at is that gamers nowadays are less intelligent

Raziel, if you are going to quote, atleast take it in context.
Re: The legend will never die!
Like I was saying, please quote in context. The rest of that line says “since there are more of them.” Now if you took this as a personal insult I apologize but that is a statement of the group not individuals. I will rephrase it in the post if I have to.
In the past gamers were considered the nerds, geeks, dweebs, the ones with pocket protectors and glasses. Now that everyone can, and more importantly does, consider themselves gamers no matter how you cut it, it goes down. Anytime you take something that is considered a nerd hobby and add anyone who comes by, there is a direct correlation to the level of general intelligence going down. If you would like another example, just look at D&D. And it is not like this is a bad thing, it is just something I pointed out to counter kingmohd's point that gamers nowadays are more intelligent. You are correct, you do not have to be a rocket scientist to beat Castlevania 3, I personally know a few who cannot (one is technically a missile scientist but that is besides the point). But when everyone can consider themselves something the level of intelligence usually levels out at around average, which is down from where it use to be.
And well yes I am crazy – no debating that point. I am a dumbass twitch cowboy from the south who, according to a government issued IQ test, has an IQ of 41 and severe mental issues... Though I would like to know why you think my statements are?

Now that you've rephrased your post I understand your thoughts more clearly, so I apologize for attacking you.fast wrote:Like I was saying, please quote in context. Its cool man, dont worry about it - Ack actually heckled me about it earlier today stating I need to rephrase it. That is what I get for stream of conciousness.
